This was my first time reviewing Acre75 Gathered and opening the summer box for the first time made me smile with delight. If the goal of this box is to capture small-town charm, they nailed it with their newspaper-printed tissue paper. As a subscription box reviewer, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such creative packaging.
Acre75 Gathered Summer 2024 Unboxing
After the tissue paper, I was hooked and couldn’t wait to see the rest. Here’s a closer look at the items we received in the Summer Acre75 Gathered box…
They set the tone for the box beautifully, “Perfect for gathering with friend and family, our Summer Acre75 Gathered Box invites you to savour the warmth of the season, share the bounty of a summer garden, sip cool drinks on warm days, and immerse yourself in the delightful scents of summer.”
Silicone Straws: these straws are just what summer ordered – made with 100% Canadian-made silicone they’re bendable, extra long for all sized water bottles, and dishwasher safe. As a family who loves to use straws, these are a fabulous addition to the summer box. I love that they came with a cleaner brush as well and that they’re made with soft silicone so they can be rolled up or transported easily. The colors are great too!
Electrolyte Drink: Made by Fuse & Sip out of Squamish, BC this flavourful, hydrating, and mineral-rich electrolyte is infused with cranberries, oranges, and limes. The perfect way to kickstart your day, improve digestion, and aid in proper heart function. Another must-have for summer! Electrolytes are such a great way to replenish the body after a day at the beach, a sporting event, or after a few too many patio margaritas (don’t ask me how I know!). They’re actually tea bag style which I’ve never seen before – but the cool thing about these is you can drink it cold or brew it hot. So neat.
Custom Tropical Candy Mix: Ok, if this isn’t summer in a bag, I don’t know what is. A custom blend of tropical candy flavors in nostalgic shapes like watermelon, banana, pineapple, and strawberry. This bag of fruity goodness was mixed in Stratford, ON by Corner Store Candy Co. It really does remind me of stepping into the old general store in the teeny, tiny town I grew up in and having to make the excruciating decision of picking just ONE candy. I love that they’ve included all of the best ones in this bag (and this is one treat I don’t think I’m going to share, shh – don’t tell).
Veggie Fusion Dip Mix: I was really excited to discover this little gem in the summer Acre75 Gathered box because summer is always packed with impromptu gatherings or friends showing up to swim in the pool – and I love to keep things like this on hand to whip up when I haven’t planned for it. This pack is made by Gourmet Inspirations in Steinbach, MB and can be used as a herb and spice blend, or as a dip mixed with sour cream, mayonnaise, or greek yogurt. I love a good veggie dip, and this one checks all the boxes.
Orange Mimosa Lip Balm: Sipping summer mimosas in lip balm form – yes, yes, yes! Love that it goes on light, has a sweet little punch, and has good ingredients like sweet almond oil, Vitamin E, Shea Butter, and essential oils. Made by K’Pure Naturals in Mission, BC. I’m definitely tossing this in my purse for an energizing zap of hydration this season.
Tropical Paradise Lotion: Oh my goodness, what a find! I wish you could smell this lotion. It smells like a pina colada in a bottle! This is definitely a new fave for me. And can we talk about the size?! This is a full-sized, 10 glorious ounces of tropical paradise. Such an enormous value! It’s made by Pure Anada in Morden, MB, and is vegan and cruelty-free without any artificial flavours or fragrances. Win, win, win. I also always appreciate when lotions come in a pump bottle like this for easier application. It’s the little things, and this is one for me.
Handcrafted Charcuterie Board: An immediate love at first sight! I actually couldn’t believe that this beauty could be included. It’s a true piece of functional art. Made in Milverton, ON by Built by Borgy, this snack-sized charcuterie board is crafted from cherry wood. This pairs perfectly with serving the dip and veggies or (if I were nice enough) sharing the candy into a candy board. Summer just screams charcuterie – from getting together with friends to an easy dinner swap, I am so excited about this board. It’s the perfect size for small plates or charcuterie for 2. It has a heavy duty high quality that you just don’t see every day. I really love this one!
Acre75 Gathered Review Summer 2024 – Final Thoughts
One thing that really stood out to me with my first Acre75 Gathered box, is how intentional and thoughtful the curation is. It felt like each item had a purpose and contributed to the overall experience of the summer theme. I always prefer receiving fewer high-quality items that will be used and loved, over a volume of not-as-thoughtful or lower-quality items. I think the summer box was an exceptional value on its own, but even more so knowing that each item has small-town roots. I’m actually quite amazed at how much value they could offer in this one box.
As a girl from a small, country town – this one pulls on all my heartstrings. It was a box to remember and truly captured all the best things of summer. I can’t wait to see what they do next!
