Here’s a peek at the items in my February box…..
Vive Granola Bites
This month we had the chance to work with some pretty unique vegan snack companies. The first of which is Vive Snacks. Vive makes vegan and gluten free snack bites for those seeking a healthy lifestyle. Not only are they made with simple ingredients, but they are also just plain tasty.
I’ve received these before and they were SO good. It’s one of those sub box products that I would go out of my way to purchase again.
Blake’s Seed Based Bars
The next snacks we’ve included are from Blake’s Seed Based. Blake grew up with a deathly nut allergy, which led him to creating seed-based snacks. Since most snack bars contain nuts, we hadn’t tried seed-based bars before, but fell in love with them after trying Blake’s Seed Based.
I love to see nut-free products made with seeds. Luckily I don’t have a nut allergy but I do try to limit my nut intake as it is easy to develop a sensitivity if you consume them too often.
Gezellig Cookies
The last snack item is from Gezellig Cookies, which makes the first vegan Stroopwafel we’ve ever seen. While stroopwafels aren’t a common treat in the US, many people remember what they taste like from the time before they were vegan. And now here is a vegan version of them.
Oh my goodness!!! This is a game changer! Stroopwafels are AH-mazing so to see a vegan-friendly version is the highlight of my day. If you haven’t had a Stroopwafel before I highly recommend you go out and get yourself one (or ten) ASAP. Place on top of your coffee cup in the morning, let it warm up, and you can thank me later.
Vegan T-Shirt
Our lifestyle item this month is a vegan print t-shirt with a heart replacing the ‘a’. Becoming vegan was a pretty heart-felt switch for many of us, as we came to realize what reality was really like for farm animals, the environment, and our own health. And as the saying goes, “Vegan because I listen to my heart, not my stomach.”
I’m not really loving the quality of this month’s tee or the design, but that’s a personal preference.
Sea Witch Botanicals Lip Balm
Our bath & body item this month is a Vegan Lip Balm from Sea Witch Botanicals! Sea Witch Botanicals aims to provide an all-natural alternative to the plastic-laden cosmetics and home-products. And their lip balms do just that. With high amounts of linoleic and oleic acids from the organic avocado oil, this balm leaves your lips feeling naturally hydrated, unlike petroleum-based products which can lead to long-term dry lips.
I am always happy to receive a new lip balm. It’s one of those items I am constantly misplacing. This was also one of the spoilers we received for the February box. I really hope they continue to release spoilers for future boxes.
Magnet
Our activism item for this month is a magnet that reads “Vegan For The Animals.” Great to stick on the back of your car, on your fridge. etc!
All Around Vegan Review February 2019 – Final Thoughts
This month’s All Around Vegan box is great but definitely not my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I still love this box, and probably always will, but I feel like it was lacking a little something. But, with that being said, they did introduce me to vegan Stroopwafels and for that I will be forever grateful. And in the end, that’s what it is all about – discovering new vegan products I wouldn’t have been able to find on my own. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next month!
