Bakers Krate Review September 2016
Last month’s Bakers Krate was by far my favourite. The birthday cake theme was absolute perfection, in my opinion. I think the August box will always stand out, and I’m not sure if they will ever be able to top it. Who can resist birthday cake squares and cookies? But enough about the August box, let’s talk about the September box. I was looking forward to this one. I was interested to see how they were going to follow the b-day theme.

Caramel Macchiato Cake in a Jar
A moist chocolate cake with espresso icing and homemade caramel! By Caked With Love.
Does anyone else get as excited about cake in a jar as I do? Why is it that I am so obsessed with these things? Is it the cute little jar, is it the perfectly sized portion, is it the fact that it is portable? I can’t quite put my finger on it. I mean, it’s not like the cake itself has a nice presentation. It’s just cake and icing shoved in a jar. But it’s so damn awesome! Plus, this one is topped with caramel. It looks SO good.
Pasticcini
Butter cookies sandwiched in butter cream, dipped in chocolate with a hint of sea salt! By Gourmet Bliss Baked Goods.
What do we have here? I’ve never had a cookie like this before. And the cream filling is a nice little surprise. Apparently these are an Italian Delicacy. The BF is going to love these.
Sweet & Salty Cookies
Decadent cookies baked with your favourite snack foods inside. By Pinky’s Bakeshop.
Just when I was starting to get use to seeing Cookie Girl cookies in every box, they go and switch it up. The only thing is, they don’t tell us what exactly is inside. This is when I wish I was having a vegan cheat day, but sadly I’m not. I’m thinking it is sea salt, but I could be wrong.
Fabulous Chocolate Chunk Brownie
A chocolate brownie with chunks of Belgium chocolate on top! A chocolate lovers dream! By Goodies Bake Shop.
Oh my goodness, I’m not sure if the photos do this treat justice, but it looks AMAZING. I am so impressed by this brownie. I haven’t even tasted it and I can tell that it is going to be epic. The amount of chocolate on the top is ridiculous…..I love it!
Bakers Krate Review September 2016 – Final Thoughts
Can you imagine coming home at the end of a long, crappy week, and finding this beautiful little box on your doorstep? It would instantly make you feel better, about everything and anything. baking is seriously the best invention. It makes me happy just thinking about it. I use treats to bribe myself. Is that wrong? For example, I keep these little goodies in the freezer (you already know that) and I tell myself that I can have one (and a glass of wine) if I get through 5 more reviews. Yup, there you have it, that is how I get myself through hours of sitting in front of the computer…..bribery. But it works, and this is the perfect box to enable my bad habit. How can you not love it!
In regards to this month’s box specifically, I am super happy with it. I was a little worried that it would be big letdown after last month’s box, but it isn’t at all. I love the flavours this month, and the brownie is something dreams are made of. Great box, yet again!
