BarBella Box Review April 2019

BarBella Box is a monthly package filled with premium fitness apparel, gear, accessories, snacks, supplements, workout tips, and more exclusively for women! They kindly sent us this box for review.

Working out and being active is (and always will be) a huge part of my life. I got my first gym membership when I was 15 and I have been working out on a regular basis ever since. Therefore, I was pretty darn excited when my very first BarBella Box arrived. They have been shipping since January of 2016 but this will be my first time reviewing the fitness subscription.

Subscription Details

In each Barbella Box, you will find a healthy mix of 4-6 well-known and new-to-the-market brands & products including CrossFit-style apparel, gear, accessories, supplement samples, snacks, workout tips, recipes, and more!

You can choose a monthly subscription, 3-month subscription or an annual subscription.

Here’s a closer look at the items we received in the April BarbellaBox….

Born Primative X-Factor Bra ($48)

This exclusive bra is Born Primative’s highest support bra to date with the most front coverage. It also features an extended body fit that is beyond flattering. This bra has a thicker strap over the shoulder for increased support that transitions into a mesh back. PLUS it can also double as a bathing suit top.

This sports bra has my name written all over it! I love everything about it. The sage green color, the patterned detail on the back straps, the thick band around the bottom, the front coverage……absolutely everything! I use to prefer bras with thin straps and less coverage, now I am all about comfort and fit.

Normally I’m size small in sports bras but I received a medium and it fits perfectly. I could probably get away with the small but the medium is so darn comfortable. I’m a 32c for reference.

Shades Club Jetsetter Aviators ($29)

We love partnering with other subscription boxes and one of our faves us ‘Shades Club’ – they deliver a pair of high-end sunglasses every month. We collaborated on these classic shape Jetsetter Aviator sunglasses featuring premium 100% UVA/UVB polarized lenses, adventure ready hinges, BarBella and Shades Club logos, and matte finish temple tips. They’re versatile enough for all of your workouts, weekend jaunts, early flights, and daily go-to shades for your on-the-go lifestyle!

I was super excited to see these in the box. I love a good pair of sunglasses and these are GOOD! I will definitely be checking Shades Club out. These glasses are on trend, they look amazing on, they are super lightweight and they fit my face perfectly.

Stinkbug Sensitive Skin Deodorant ($7.99)

No aluminum, no baking soda, and no propylene glycol! This sensitive skin formula deodorant contains organic coconut oil which harbors moisturizing and odor-fighting properties, beeswax to help solidify the consistency, non-GMO cornstarch which absorbs perspiration and odor causing bacteria, magnesium hydroxide which eliminates odors and activated charcoal which aids in detoxification.

I’m not a huge fan of the Stinkbug packaging but I am a huge fan of the scent and the ingredients. How good does “Vanilla Mint Charcoal” sound?! I received a natural deodorant in another box recently but it didn’t work the way I was hoping it would so I’m excited to give this one a try.

Maji Sports Natural Rubber Trigger Point Ball ($24.95)

Helps to relieve knots in your muscles that are also known as trigger points, which lead to Myofascial Pain Syndrome. Great tool to help release and achieve melting of minor aches and pains to muscular tissue.

This is a handy little tool to have on hand if you workout on a regular basis. I’ve never used one before so I will have to do a little research, but I’m very intrigued.

Nooma Sports Drink ($2.35)

Nooma combines the science of hydration with the principles of good nutrition. Natural electrolytes, organic ingredients, no added sugar, superior hydration & smart packaging.

I am super picky when it comes to sports drinks, 99% of the time I avoid them altogether. However, this one has no added sugar and only 30 calories. It’s the kind of sports drink I would reach for over most other brands.

BarBella Box Review April 2019 – Final Thoughts

I am extremely happy with my very first BarBella Box and am so happy to have discovered it. The box itself costs $49.99 per month and we received approx. $110 worth of fitness-related items inside. The sports bra itself covers the cost of the box so the rest of the items are kind of like freebies. I am absolutely in love with the sports bra and the sunglass, I will be wearing both often. Fitness subscription boxes are a great reminder to live a healthy lifestyle and a great little motivator to keep up with your fitness routine and healthy eating. I want to go for a run right now just so I can wear the bra and glasses…..is that wrong?
