Beachly Beauty Box is a new monthly subscription box that delivers 4 to 6 beach-inspired, clean and cruelty-free beauty products worth $75 or more. September’s box is my first (the subscription launched this Spring) and aims to ease the transition to Fall with beauty essentials “infused with nutrient-dense, island-inspired ingredients” and subtle summery aromas to warm up your days as the weather gets cooler. Let’s take a look.*
*They kindly sent us this box for review.
Beachly Beauty Box is $29/month USD + $2.99 shipping (free shipping on your first box for US subscribers). International shipping costs vary.
My September box didn’t include a product card so I’ve included product descriptions from Beachly’s website.
Hanalei Papaya Enzyme Powder Face Cleanser
“With all-natural papaya enzymes, this gentle cleanser will brighten and exfoliate your skin – leaving it with a radiant, anti-aging glow. It’s infused with island ingredients containing Vitamins A and C, Hawaiian Noni, fatty acids, and antioxidants. ($35)”
Nobody likes a shady beach so I’ll tell you straight up, the powder formula isn’t my favourite. Maybe I’m lazy but I’d rather apply my cleanser directly from the bottle than have to first mix it in my hands with a little water. That said, it does foam up into a lovely lather and gently exfoliates as it cleanses. Aloha super-soft and glowy skin!
Finn & Co Black Sand Body Cream
“The best way to replenish your skin after a sun-soaked Summer! This luxury body cream delivers long lasting hydration with a unique blend of whipped shea butter, aloe leaf extract, and an infusion of Vitamin A, C, and E. ($38)”
This cream is thick and rich and makes my skin feel silky soft. I feel like it’ll work wonders this winter when we’re using the furnace 24/7 and I’m as dry as a husk. IF I haven’t gone through it all by then. This one has strong notes of sandalwood, musk and vanilla where the White Sand Body Cream some subscribers received has notes of mandarin, honeysuckle and sea salt. (I think I might have preferred the latter.) Free of paraben, sulfate, phthalate, phosphate, propylene glycol and formaldehyde.
EiR NYC Hydrating Face Mist
“A five-ingredient face mist filled with aloe, rose, and witch-hazel. This hydrating toner is a refreshing super-nourisher for your skin. With just a few spritzes, your skin will feel awakened and balanced, making this the perfect addition to your everyday beauty regimen. ($26)”
I am obsessed with face mists and love this refreshing and hydrating addition to my collection. Suitable for all skin types and vegan.
Earth Harbor Laguna Replenishing Body Serum
“A bottle of glistening maritime bliss, this body serum has a blend of nutrient-dense, pure botanical oils – marine algae, coconut, rosehip, and geranium blossoms. Enjoy deep nourishment, hydration, and a glowy skin from within. ($26)”
I’ve tried a couple of Earth Harbor products from different beauty boxes and they’ve been wonderful but this is the first time I’ve seen their body serum. It has a lovely and light fresh scent, absorbs quickly and makes me feel so pampered. A few drops goes a long way.
In many ways summer feels like ages ago but Beachly Beauty Box brought some of the best of it back with products to give your skin a healthy, hydrated glow. (Nothing like that sunshiney summer glow-up!) I’d like to see a great product card and maybe a playlist to up the wow factor. A sneak peek at next month’s box might be exciting too. September’s Beachly Beauty Box is valued at $134.
