Beauty Box 5 Review February 2017

Beauty Box 5 is a subscription-based, beauty sampling service that delivers 5 deluxe samples and full-sized products right to your door every month.  Consider them your product-junkie spirit animals. They want to make your makeup bag fun again. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Over the last year Beauty Box 5 has won me over. When asked about my favourite beauty subscription boxes I often think of them before most others. It’s a small little box that packs a punch. I am ALWAYS happy to see this on the post office counter.

February Theme

This month’s box is called “The Kiss Kit”. Normally I prefer a mixture of products, but it appears as though this month’s box contains only lip items. This may not be my preference but I love a strong theme, and this is definitely that. I also find it very appropriate for a February Box…..Valentine’s, Romancing, Kissing……..lip products are definitely needed.

Jean Pierre Cosmetics Pink Moisturizing Lip Mask

From Instagram to IRL – prep your pout like a beauty blogger and repair dryness with collagen, vitamins and minerals. Place on Clean and dry lips, then smooth onto skin. Leave on for 15 minutes, remove, then rub in remixing liquid.

They have a mask for everything these days! I love it! Not only does this look super fun, it also contains some really great ingredients. I am going to keep this in the drawer for a spa night – face mask, eye mask, lip mask…….and wine!

Tint Beauty Unicorn Lippie

Let’s get mythical! Introducing the Unicorn Lippie Collection – making its debut in this month’s box! These ultra-pigmented, matte liquid lips glide on so easily and last all night – through Valentine’s Day Dinner.

Normally I shy away from neutral shades, but something about this color is drawing me in. I think it is so pretty. I also like that BB5 included a new product. I may need to check out the rest of the Tint Beauty line.

Tint Beauty Unicorn Liner

You’ll need a matching liner to go with your new Unicorn lip. Outline and define with this creamy crayon before applying the above shade for major staying power.

I love products that compliment each other, I really do! This makes my heart happy. So far I am really enjoying the lip theme.

So Susan Color Hybrid

Add a flirty flush! This rich cream-mousse pigment looks great on every skin tone and adds fullness to your lips. Apply a small amount on the apples of your cheeks or center of your lips and gently blend outward.

So Susan is a great brand. I’ve seen it pop up a few times in different subscription boxes. The fact that this particular product is a multi-tasker makes me an instant fan. I like double-duty makeup items. They are perfect for my purse.

Style Essentials Lip Glow

With a lightly tinted shine, this balm glides on sheer with a moisturizing and comfortable finish – perfect for the days you want to take a break from bold, or to layer on top of a matter shade.

I’ve recently gone through a color transition. I use to prefer bright and bold, now I prefer sheer and neutral. Therefore, I absolutely LOVE this Lip Glow. The shade is so darn pretty.

Beauty Box 5 Review February 2017 – Final Thoughts

Once again Beauty Box 5 has done a really great job. I actually really like the lip theme, it’s perfect for a February box. We received 4 full-size items this month, and that’s pretty awesome. I’ve noticed that BB5 is starting to include more full-size and less sample-size products. That is going to make a lot of subscribers very happy……myself included. The February box has great value, quality brands, and a strong theme. What more can you ask for? Keep this one on your radar, I have a feeling we are going to see great things from them this year.

XOXO
