Bibliophilic Excursions Review June 2018

Bibliophilic Excursions provides a curated experience for readers of all ages, tastes and backgrounds. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Subscription Details

Travel the world with Bibliophilic Excursions. Each month a box of goodies is cleverly curated to take subscribers on an adventure to one of the many beautiful cities or countries of the world. There are several excursion options available including Moving Memoirs and Children’s Excursions that start at $19.99 a month. Their goal is to curate “literary journeys for various types of readers.” Each box includes 1-2 books, usually a fiction and nonfiction piece, 1 paper product from the destination, and souvenirs and food to enhance the experience. Think of Bibliophilic Excursions as a travel adventure in a box, where the subscriber experiences a different destination each month through the books and goodies.

Packaging

Eco-friendly packaging is used to ship these precious goodies to their destination. I really liked the details on the book including the glittery hot air balloon, map, and postage stamp designed tape. It helped make the literary journey authentic.

What Came in the Paris Box

The book and goodie selections for this box were very well-rounded. There was something to read, something to wear, something to eat, an activity to do, and beauty products to use. The books included were Villa America Liza Klaussmann, a historical fiction novel, and The Most Beautiful Walk in the World by John Baxter, a memoir. The books came a little beat up like they were used copies. Also included in the box were an adorable pair of pink socks that say “I love you” in french and a beautiful gold Eiffel Tower keychain. It came with a selection of sweets including carmels, crepes, jam, and pastries. I have a sweet tooth, so I know I’ll enjoy these! The paper item included in this box was a travel journal. It of course was Paris themed with a quote from Audrey Hepburn: “Paris is always a good idea.” I love this item and want to make it a point to journal when I make my trip to the Grand Canyon. The last items in the box were lotion, shower gel, and hand soap. I like receiving pampering products in subscription boxes.

Bibliophilic Excursions Review June 2018 – Final Thoughts

This is a really unique concept for a book box. I recommend it to travelers and lovers of snacks. As I finish up this blog post, I’m enjoying one of the chocolate crepes.
