I was so excited to pull in the driveway and see the Blue Apron box in front of the door!!
I couldn’t remember exactly which recipes I had ordered so I ran in and tore into the box. I was amazed at how well-packaged the Blue Apron box was.
The ingredients were inside a thermal layer to retain the cold from the two giant, reusable ice packs that sandwiched the proteins and other perishable items for the three recipes. Each recipe also came with a paper bag of pre-measured “knick knacks” which include items such as condiments or garnish.
I was pretty amazed at how cold all the items were. Well done, Blue Apron!
These were the three recipes I had ordered:
- Southern Italian Cod Stew
- Seared Chicken and French Lentils
- Shitake Mushroom Burgers
Each recipe was amazing, and their directions are very thorough. They really walk you step-by-step through the process of cooking each dish.
After preparing and trying each recipe my wife and I both agreed that the Shitake Mushroom Burgers were our favorite, and we even learned a new way to roast sweet potatoes!
