Bombay & Cedar Review December 2019

Bombay & Cedar is an aromatherapy, beauty & lifestyle subscription box featuring full size products including essential oils, diffusers, skincare, books, snacks & other products carefully curated for the discerning woman who lives a life inspired. They kindly sent us this box for review.

There are certain things I look forward to when it comes to my Bombay & Cedar boxes. It comes in the form of curation, products, brands….etc. I don’t see these things every single month, but overall, I know that my Bombay & Cedar subscription will provide them on the whole. And…..at first glance it appears as though the December box has brought with it all the little details I have come to love about this subscription. I will explain in great detail as we go through each item…..

Subscription Details

Here’s a quick look at the Bombay & Cedar subscription details……..

Here’s a closer look at the December Premium Bombay & Cedar box….

Silver Fir Essential Oil ($14)

Silver Fir benefits are derived from fir trees. It can be used for our own healing and protective purposes like supporting the respiratory system, encouraging restful sleep, promoting mental clarity and much more.

Bergamot Mint Essential Oil ($14)

Bergamot Mint essential oil has a soft, fresh herby and minty aroma that is beneficial to uplifting the spirits, calming the nervous system, relaxing the mind and much more.

Essential oils are becoming a bigger part of my daily life as time goes by. I am always discovering new ways to use them, how to benefit from them the most, and how to use them in place of traditional medicine. Silver Fir is one I am not familiar with but after doing some research I found out that it is highly effective when used daily in the diffuser, especially when there may be inhibited flow through the breath channels during the difficult winter months.

I also found out something very interesting about Bergamot oil. It is a scent that can help ease the anxiety of labor and it is safe for both mom and baby. This one will be going in my hospital bag ASAP.

Marinated Veggies by Poshi ($2.49)

Healthy, delicious snack available in Freshly Marinated Asparagus w/Rosemary & Oregano or Freshly Marinated Artichokes w/Basil & Thyme.

As I mentioned above, there are certain things about Bombay & Cedar that I look forward to and unique snacks is one of those things. It’s not always the case but every couple of months they source a unique snack that I never would have found on my own….and it’s healthy to boot. I’m very excited about these marinated veggies. It’s such a great idea.

I received the Marinated Artichokes and when I was creeping on the Poshi Instagram page I got the genius idea to enjoy them on top of my avocado toast.

Multi Vitamins by Sugar Bear Hair ($30)

These gummies are an easy-to-use, scientifically formulated, vegan vitamin complex designed for women.

I’ve been seeing these little gummy bears around for quite some time and have been dying to try them. I hate taking pills so the idea of a gummy vitamin is very appealing. We received the multi vitamin but they also have hair vitamins and sleep vitamins.

Oatmeal Green Tea Bath Soak by LM Organics ($24)

What better way to get perked up for the day? This bath soak is luxurious and will make your skin feel silky smooth as you relax into the delicious scents of the soothing ingredients.

I don’t take baths often, but when I do I like to have a selection of lovely bath products on hand, depending on what I am in the mood for. This soak will be nice when my skin needs a little TLC. Oatmeal can be moisturizing, soothing, and inflammation-relieving for the skin.

12 Month Undated Planned by Compendium ($18.95)

This elegant planner is filled with inspiration to embrace joy and gratitude all year long. With periodic vignettes and thoughtful quotes and prompts throughout.

Here we have another one of the little details that I appreciate about Bombay & Cedar. They usually include some sort of book and my favorite boxes are the ones that include a book such as this one. Planners, notebooks, gratitude books…..whatever it may be, I love to receive them and it’s a great way to start the New Year.

Nectar of the C Serum by Fleur & Bee ($28)

This serum reduces the appearance of dark spots, makes your skin tone appear more even, smooth and bright, softens the appearance of fine lines.

When it comes to my skincare routine serum is a must. I apply it prior to my face oil and depending on the serum I see great results. This one includes ingredients such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Jojoba and Aloe.

Hand Poured Candle by Urban Wax Refinery ($15 – $22)

These artisan candles are hand poured with a proprietary blend of soy and coconut wax. Available in several styles.

Apparently there were a few different variations when it comes to this candle. I haven’t seen any of the other styles, but I am in LOVE with the one I received. The candle itself is huge. Bigger than any candle I have received in my subscription boxes to date. The scent is Honey Glazed Pumpkin and it is lovely.

On the Go Fabric Shaver by Gleener ($12.99)

This is a must have for last minute wardrobe touch ups. 3 fabric friendly edges eliminate pilling while an uber-handy lint brush dust away pet hair and dandruff and includes a matching storage pouch.

I keep a lint roller with me at all times, or at least I try to. Lint on my clothing is a pet peeve so I am 100% sure I will get a lot of use out of this fabric shaver. Not only can I eliminate pilling (another pet peeve) I can also use it as a lint brush. Genius idea!

Birthstone Necklace by Wanderlust and CO ($79)

Inspired by everyone’s unique journey, the Birthstone series is made to be gifted, and worn with love. Each month is represented by a unique coloured stone.

I saved the best for last – this gorgeous birthstone necklace. This was an item subscribers could choose. Bombay & Cedar is starting to do this more often. Each month they offer 1 or 2 customization items. They send around an email to their subscribers and let them choose their style preference, color, or in this case birth month. This is a really fun piece that I will enjoy wearing.

Bombay & Cedar Review December 2019 – Final Thoughts

This is exactly the kind of box I LOVE to see from Bombay & Cedar. Don’t get me wrong, I love all their boxes, but the curation of the December box is absolutely perfect. It includes all the little details I have come to appreciate – unique snack, book, jewelry item, essential oils, quality skincare, supplement and candle….as well as a few other little goodies. The value is amazing, as per usual, and I will get use out of most (if not all) of the items we received. This was a great way for Bombay & Cedar to end the year.
