Book of the Month Review February 2018

Book of the Month is a monthly book subscription box. Every month they release 5 new books which they have narrow down from hundreds of new releases (so you don’t have to). Books are announced on the first of the month, and members have six days to decide which book they would like to receive. Monthly subscriptions include one book, but members can purchase up to two additional books each month for $9.99 per title. They kindly sent us this box for review.

I literally just finished my January Book of the Month selection last night so my February box arrived at the perfect time. My selection for last month was The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen, and it was a great read! It took me a few weeks to get through it but that’s only because I am trying to finish the entire Harry Potter series before Spring. The Wife Between Us is a must-read if you like romance, suspense and not knowing what’s going to happen next. It kept me guessing the entire time and there’s definitely some unexpected twists and turns.

I absolutely LOVE my Book of the Month subscription. Thanks to my monthly selections I am spending more time reading than ever before. I look forward to quiet mornings spent in my favorite chair, with a warm cup of tea and a good book.

An American Marriage by Tayari Jones

Book of the Month Review February 2018 – Final Thoughts

Ohhhh……this month’s selection sounds like a good one. I love the combination of “the American Dream”, romance, suspense, and betrayal. An American Marriage is described as contemporary fiction. It receives 4.06 out of 5 stars on GoodReads and reviewers seem to love it. One reviewer said she read it in 24 hours, and a few people said not to read the synopsis prior to starting the book. I’m not sure why but a few people have said it’s better if you read the book without knowing anything about it. Well, it’s too late for that now, but I’m still really looking forward to diving in to this one. Stay tuned as we will also be sharing with you the rest of the February selections. But……I would definitely say that An American Marriage is the one that stood out to me this month.
