Book of the Month Review July 2019

Book of the Month is a monthly book subscription box. Every month they release 5 new books which they have narrowed down from hundreds of new releases (so you don’t have to). Books are announced on the first of the month, and members have six days to decide which book they would like to receive. Monthly subscriptions include one book, but members can purchase up to two additional books each month for $9.99 per title. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Can I just tell you how amazing the team at Book of the Month is?! My july box didn’t arrive and I was SO unbelievably sad. I had my eye on two of the July books and was beyond excited to read them. Like we are talking REALLY excited. When they found out my box didn’t arrive they shipped me a new one. So…..my July review is quite late, but better late than never!

Subscription Details

How Book of the Month works:

1. New selections are announced on the 1st of the month: The BOTM team selects 5 new books each month, one of which is included in your membership.

2. Choose your Book of the Month by the 6th: Visit the site to select your Book of the Month, or leave it up to them and they will choose one for you.

3. Read, react and discuss with other members: All books ship on the same day. Return to the site to share and discuss with other members.

Here’s a closer look at my Book of the Month selection for July……

Lock Every Door by Riley Sager

Book of the Month Review July 2019 – Final Thoughts

Even though it was tough to narrow it down this month, I always try to choose one of the five books to feature, at the end of the day it came down to Lock Every Door by Riley Sager. I am a HUGE Riley Sager fan and was so excited to see that he had released a new book. This is the third time Book of the Month has featured a Riley Sager book and I hope it’s not the last. Riley’s book The Last Time I Lied is one of my all-time favorite books, and Final Girls is up there was well. Definitely in my top 30.

I’m about halfway through Lock Every Door and so far I am loving it. A chance to live in one of the most famous landmarks, Manhattan’s most high-profile and mysterious buildings.…and be paid for it?! That right there sucked me in. Add the element of suspense and the dark history hidden beneath its gleaming facade and we have the makings for an amazing read. I can’t wait to finish it!
