Box of Style is an exclusive box curated by Rachel Zoe and her team featuring over $300 of seasonal fashion and beauty finds for only $99.99. They kindly sent me this box for review.
I was very impressed with the Fall 2016 Box of Style. It was my first time reviewing this luxury subscription and it definitely lived up to the hype. I actually ended up loving it more than I thought I would. This is classified as a high value box and I would put it up there with FabFitFun & Luxor Box. The two words I would use to describe this box are luxury & style.
The Winter 2016 box includes everything you need to “shine on this holiday season”. Holiday boxes are my favourite, so I already know I am going to like this one. Plus, I got to review two of the spoilers and loved them both!
Dylanlex Exclusive “Zoey” Necklace, Retail Value: $200
Light up every room by way of this divine piece, our seasonal collab. Dripping in Swarovski crystals and glass stones, it’ll complete a holiday party look or dress up an off-duty ensemble in a snap.
This was one of the spoiler items, so I have already fallen in love with it. I think it is absolutely gorgeous. In the product booklet the model is wearing it with a lace top and it looks so pretty. I think it would also look nice with a tank and cozy cardigan.
Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream, Retail Value: $65
Combat a stressed complexion during seasonal travels with this skin savior. It packs major moisture to keep you looking fresh through the hectic month and into the New Year.
I am SO excited about this item. My skin has been extremely dry this season and needs all the help it can get. The product description says that this cream increases hydration by 68% in 15 minutes, exfoliates and smooths texture. I think this was a really good choice on their part. The perfect item for a holiday/winter box. I LOVE luxury skincare products.
Soia & Kyo Olivia Cable-Knit Beanie, Retail Value: $50
Equal parts practical and posh, Soia & Kyo’s beanie will keep you warm all winter. Available in three versatile colorways (Black, Ivory and Merlot), members may choose their favorite and trust the easy add-on to save a bad hair day.
This was the other spoiler I received, and just like the necklace, it was love at first sight. Subscribers received one of three colours – cream, black or maroon. I think all holiday subscription boxes should include some sort of cozy item like this.
DL & Co. Custom Birch Candle, Retail Value: $50
Set the mood on a festive occasion with our exclusive birch-scented candle. It also makes for a lovely hostess handout.
I am very familiar with DL & Co. candles, and I can safely say that it’s one of my favourite brands. Their candles are gorgeous, and they smell amazing. I already have this one sitting on my display shelf in the living room. I also really love the idea of using it as a hostess gift.
Dagne Dover Custom Card Case, Retail Value: $50
Just in time for holiday shopping, this dapper accessory is here to stow your cards in style. The navy blue pebbled leather case is compact in design to conveniently transfer from your day bag to your evening clutch.
This little card case is much needed. I always forget to keep cards in my purse, maybe this will give me the little nudge I need. It can also be used as an alternative to your wallet when you only need the necessities – cash, credit card, and ID.
Clinique Berry Pop Lip Color + Primer, Retail Value: $24
Pucker up to this bold lip color to put the final touch on party attire—or gift it to your makeup-obsessed BFF.
Awe, this is so fun! I rarely, if ever, receive Clinique products in my subscription boxes. I discovered the world of Clinique in 7th grade and have loved it ever since. It’s a classic brand, and a quality brand. Just the fact that they have included this item adds value to the box…….in my personal opinion.
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Fragrance
A purse-size Viva La Juicy fragrance is a gift that keeps on giving. A spritz on the wrist will take you from the office to a night out. This sponsored product is a bonus item in this season’s assortment.
This is a sponsored product and isn’t included in the total value of the box. As far as sponsored products go, this is a good one. Just to give you an example, sponsored products are usually things like deodorant, snacks, etc. Some people don’t like sponsored products but I happen to love them. Especially when it is a mini bottle of perfume. It’s the perfect size, and I actually really like the scent.
Box of Style Review Winter 2016 – Final Thoughts
I think I have a new favourite subscription box. I am extremely happy with my Winter Box of Style. It has a value of $439 and that is AWESOME!! How can you not like this box! It only costs $99.99 and we received some pretty amazing products. Right off the bat I can tell you that I will be keeping all but one of the items. Actually, I might end up keeping them all. The necklace is gorgeous, the knit hat is adorable, the face cream is much needed, the candle is AMAZING, the card holder is long overdue, and the lipstick is Clinique! This is a really fun mixture of items and I am genuinely excited about all of them. I also really love that they included a sponsored product this season. I can’t remember if they included one in the Fall box, but I hope this is a regular feature. This box won’t fit everyone’s budget, but if you can afford $100 every 3 months I would highly recommend it. I get very excited about luxury subscription boxes, they are a really great way to treat yourself. I feel so pampered right now. I needed this today……
