BuddhiBox Review July 2018

BuddhiBox is a monthly Yoga inspired box that’s based on discovery, union and compassion. Each box contains 4-6 sample and full sized yoga-related products that will inspire your life, workouts and community. Products will be from different categories, including fitness, skincare, and fragrance. You’ll get to try staff favorites, product launches, and more. BuddhiBox believes it’s better to give than to receive, so each month a portion of proceeds from the sale of the boxes is donated to a different charity. They kindly sent us this box for review.

July Box Details

The July BuddhiBox is another great soul care package that happens to be packed with some awesome goods. The included info card shares a mantra that is a great theme for the month:
The soul always knows how to heal itself.

The contents of July’s box are definitely that, healing items. They are a reminder to slow down and take care of yourself and help make that simple. Many of the items could combine to make one rad and relaxing gentle yoga session. Brighten and prep your space with the Reiki Candle, calm your nerves with the singing bowl. Then after your yoga sesh, soothe those stretched muscles with the massage wand and energize your mind and mat with the aromatherapy spray. Sounds like a perfect evening to me!

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s box:

Wake Up! Energy Burst Aromatherapy Spray ($14)

Need a morning pick-me-up? Or perhaps a midday spritz or an evening boost? Luna Lifestyle’s citrus and eucalyptus spray includes just the right blend of essential oils to get your blood flowing and your brain working, even after a long workday. Made in the USA, it’s also a great pillow mist and is ideal for freshening up your yoga or meditation room.

I like room sprays because they are so versatile. You can use them as a general room aroma enhancer, or when you need an energy boost you can spritz and inhale, you can use to add depth to your yoga practice or even spritz it on your mat afterwards to keep it fresh. I like this one because it smells so bright and uplifting (I get mostly citrus notes). It would be perfect for a morning yoga session or to wake you up for the day ahead.

Black Onyx Bracelet ($25)

This delicate and versatile black onyx bracelet is tres chic! Adorned with a ginkgo leaf charm, it includes a simple but sturdy clasp. Ginkgo leaves promote healthy blood circulation and onyx helps prevent the drain of personal energy, promoting the development of physical and emotional strength and stamina. That makes this bracelet ideal for when you need a gentle nudge in times of stress or grief.

I love simple and neutral colored jewelry since it can go with anything. This bracelet is especially nice since it’s matte black onyx because black will match essentially all my clothes! I like the tiny detail of the ginkgo leaf too, it adds a bit of sparkle. Like it says in the description, onyx is useful for channeling inner strength so wear this when you need a reminder to keep going through something that feels tough. The only downside is that I have pretty small wrists and while it’s adjustable, the smallest size is still a bit big when wearing.

Ohm Shoppe – Singing Bowl ($35)

If you’ve never heard the beautiful sounds of a singing bowl, you’re in for a treat! This lovely, handmade bowl produces high-frequency pitches that resonate with your chakra points, promoting relaxation and stress reduction. Made of brass, it includes a wooden sticker. It’s the perfect addition to any yoga or meditation session.

I have been so curious about the use of these bowls and how they actually work so I was stoked to get one in July’s box! It’s said that signing bowls are an ancient tool used for healing and meditation purposes that have been used for centuries. The sounds and pitches they create can help harmonize and restore out of whack frequencies within the body, mind and soul. They are great for stress and anxiety reduction, improving circulation, relaxation, increasing mental clarity and promotion of general well-being. I wasn’t really sure of the correct technique at first but once you get it, it will play the most interesting hum from the vibrations of the metal. It’s fascinating really! I’m so intrigued about putting this into a practice!

White Selenite Massage Wand ($15)

Healing wands are wonderful metaphysical tools and a helpful addition to your collection of reflexology-related items. Ideal for use after a vigorous work-out or yoga session, this wand can be used for massage or acupressure and is crafted from white selenite, a powerful physical mental, and spiritual healer. The pointed end directs and focuses energies while the smooth, round end spreads those energies.

I never knew I needed one of these massage wands until now, but this thing is fantastic. I just tried this between my shoulder blades and it felt SO nice. Because of it’s small size it’s easy to focus a massage on a small area like the collarbone, the shoulder joint or a pesky muscle knot. It would be easy to carry along with you to for a bit of mid-afternoon stress-relief after staring at a computer hunched over all day. The size is essentially like a pencil but it’s much sturdier so makes it’s use as a massage tool much better than a writing utensil.

Spirit Reiki Candle ($6)

Not all candles are created equal! This Reiki-charged herbal votive candle may look simple, but what makes it magical is it’s blend of lemon, sage and clove, designed to assist your focus on the spiritual side of life. This soft pastel votive will help you move beyond the physical into the light, filled with hope, love, and joy. And it smells pretty too!

Like the description says, this might look like a simple candle but don’t let that fool you, it packs an aroma punch in it’s small size. To me it smells floral, likely that’s the botanical combo of sage and clove, yet has a bright side to it too (likely the lemon). I think due to the scent to candle ratio it would easily make an entire room smell lovely with a short burn.

Prana Energy Protein Powder ($6)

Produced by the Roots of Wisdom, the first company to offer Prana and Aruyvedic-based pre- and post-workout supplements for mind and body happiness, this protein powder was designed with yogis and yoga enthusiasts in mind but is ideal for anyone interested in healthy living. Include it in your daily routine and feel the difference.

This vanilla protein powder is intended to be used as a dietary supplement. It’s easily consumed if you’re on the go by just adding water and mixing thoroughly. You can also add it to your smoothie for an extra protein boost. Since I’m currently pregnant I can’t test it out to describe the flavor but since it’s labeled as vanilla I’m sure it’s a hint sweet. I’m always looking for good ways to get extra protein in so I look forward to trying this in the future, it has a whopping 20g of protein per serving.

Art Cards

How pretty are these reflexology art cards?!? They appear to be an extra bonus item in this month’s box since they didn’t come with an explanation. They would be perfect side by side in frames as art or simple used as a reflexology reference. Or you could even add them to your altar or put them in your meditation zone. I think the drawings are not only useful but calming to look at.

BuddhiBox Review July 2018 – Final Thoughts

First of all, I LOVE that a singing bowl was included in this month’s box. It’s something so unique that you might not think to add to your practice or daily routine but can be such a helpful tool. That along with all the other items included made for a really fun and useful box this month. I once again feel like BuddhiBox is one of my favorites.
