BuddhiBox Review July 2019
BuddhiBox is a monthly Yoga inspired box that’s based on discovery, union and compassion. Each box contains 4-6 sample and full sized yoga-related products that will inspire your life, workouts and community. Products will be from different categories, including fitness, skincare, and fragrance. You’ll get to try staff favorites, product launches, and more. BuddhiBox believes it’s better to give than to receive, so each month a portion of proceeds from the sale of the boxes is donated to a different charity. They kindly sent us this box for review.
July Box Details
The July BuddhiBox has the theme of “Transformation” and comes with the perfect quote to inspire that theme:
“Yoga does not change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.” ~B.K.S. Iyengar
It’s always the new year that gets everyone thinking about change but I think the midpoint of the year is a great place to stop and check in with ourselves and implement changes for things that just aren’t working. It’s the perfect time to reflect and find inspiration for a refresh before heading into the back half of the year. Just like the quote up there, the items in this month’s box are intended to guide and inspire inward and outward transformation.
Here’s a look at what was in this month’s box:
The Master Chakra Integration Technique with Crystals Online Course ($99)
Enjoy the radiant presence of Kundalini Yoga teacher and Master Healer (in many modalities) Victoria Lives Khoung as she teaches you about the chakra system. Victoria is also the teacher of the online Crystal Healer course.
I’m really intrigued by this course offering. I think crystals are an inspiring thing to supplement a meditation or yoga practice with so it would be great to learn how to incorporate them even further. The course comes with 10 video moduals, a Master Chakra Integration Meditation audio and downloadable charts, diagrams and forms. The content includes information on what chakras are and how to balance them, how to work with crystals, understanding of how your energetic system affects your life, assistance with moving beyond old patterns and more. The brief handout that was included in the box shared specific crystals for each chakra which is already very helpful information so I’m sure the course itself is even more insightful. Looking forward to diving into this!
Rose Quartz Heart ($15)
Who can have too many of these beautiful reminders of the vibrational essence of the heart? Use this heart to enhance your experience as you learn chakra techniques in Victoria’s online course.
Such a pretty stone and perfect for carrying with you or displaying with it’s lovely heart shape. Rose quartz is the heart stone and not only carries energies that connect to the heart chakra but it’s also intended to inspire love for your self and others. This would be a great stone to use when reflecting on changes you want to make in life so you can be sure the thoughts come from your heart.
Nosey Aroma Memory Kit ($30)
Complete with a volcanic rock bracelet, yoga essential oil blend and encouraging instructions. Maintain a positive state on the go! Yoga essential oil custom formula was created to help align the mind and body by encouraging a sense of inner peace and gentle intention. Roll some on your bracelet and you’re good to go!
I really love this essential oil roller kit! The oil blend smells so amazing and it comes with a sweet lava stone bracelet that you can add the oil to to enhance the wearability of the oil and increase length the aroma sticks around. The roller is made with ylang ylang, elmi, german chamomile, sweet orange, mandarin, patchouli and blue tansy essential oils. It smells floral and fruity and earthy – so uplifting, yet grounding all at once. It’s really such a wonderful balance of the opposites so it makes total sense that it’s intended to bring you inner peace with wear. I’ve already rolled this on twice while writing this so I know I’ll get a lot of use out of this one!
Pair of Transformation-themed Cards from Artist Lila Galindo ($15)
Lila says: “Both cards represent the dynamism of change. The lotus card speaks to the layering of the visible and invisible ,the dance between light and the shadows of light. The moon dance card evokes the solitary mystery and magic of transformation [and celebrates the spirit of the graceful and fearless solitary dancer.]” View more of Lila’s inspired art at www.heartmadeart.net
These are such beautiful cards with beautiful meaning behind them too. They are obviously wonderful for writing a note to someone special, but would also be nice placed in a frame as artwork. Either way, they would certainly inspire the receiver with their uplifting images.
Gypsy Soul Organics Facial Toner Spray ($30)
Refresh your skin after an intense yoga session, or elevate your mood in an instant as needed, with this clarifying and revitalizing spritz! Good for dry, combination, oily and blemish prone complexions. Shake before using.
I really look forward to trying this facial toner. I feel like an effective toner is essential to a skincare routine and I really like the intention and ingredients this one is made of. It’s formulated with all natural and organic ingredients including rose water, witch hazel leaf, aloe vera leaf, lavender flower, and green tea seed. It smells mostly like lavender and is calming to the senses. It’s lightweight and refreshing and if used before moisturizing will help draw the hydration into the skin. It’s great for all skin types and is intended to help repair, reduce oil and soothe skin.
Nature Derived Hair Spray ($10)
We love this product at BuddhiBox! It is a non-toxic + chemical free hairspray that holds your locks in place. All ingredients are “nature derived.”
I’m really intrigued to try this product out. I like that it’s made with all natural ingredients and is in an aerosol-free container – all around better for the environment. It’s made with things like beet sugar, aloe vera gel, lavender and Himalayan pink salt. This version is the “Max Hold” version that’s intended for thicker hair but there is also a light hold version for thinner hair as well. The formulation doesn’t seem sticky and feels lightweight. It says it’s a hairspray and texture spray so I look forward to seeing if it works well to help control my beach waves too.
BuddhiBox Review July 2019 – Final Thoughts
Like I mentioned above, now is a great time to reflect on the first half of the year and make necessary changes to have a meaningful and fulfilled remainder of the year. Receiving this box was a great reminder do just that – take the time to stop and breathe and think about how far I’ve come and where I want to go. That’s something that’s always great about BuddhiBox, that it ignites some kind of reflection and gives you tools to amplify your insights and bring them to reality. Like the Chakra Integration with Crystals Course and the Nosey Aroma Memory Kit – both are not only sensorily wonderful but get you thinking further on thoughts you might want to build upon. All around, another great box from BuddhiBox!
