BuddhiBox Review July 2020

BuddhiBox is a monthly Yoga inspired box that’s based on discovery, union and compassion. Each box contains yoga-related products that will inspire your life, workouts and community. Products will be from different categories, including fitness, skincare, and fragrance. You’ll get to try staff favorites, product launches, and more. BuddhiBox believes it’s better to give than to receive, so each month a portion of proceeds from the sale of the boxes is donated to a different charity. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Each month you’ll receive a mix of 4 to 6 full-size products from artisans in India, the birthplace of the ancient art of yoga, as well as women-owned businesses in the U.S. All products are cruelty-free, organic, kind to the earth and safe for the artisans creating them. All Boxes are shipped around the 10th of each month & subscribers receive within 5-7 business days. There are 4 subscription options:

July Box Details

The July BuddhiBox has a wonderful theme: “Courage” and comes with a great quote to inspire that theme:

“Everything you need, your courage, strength, compassion and love; everything you need is within you.” ~unknown

Courage is definitely not always something that’s easy to find, or even easy to apply to life’s moments, but it certainly is necessary and a powerful tool. I love that July’s theme is courage and how each item included aims to encourage that feeling to grow.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s BuddhiBox:

Minty Lip Balm – Me Time Botanicals ($5)

“Keep your lips silky, soft, smooth, and moisturized this summer with this lush & creamy nourishing organic lip balm.”

Me Time Botanicals is one of my favorite brands to find in a subscription box. They use such thoughtful and nourishing ingredients and the owner is so friendly and helpful. I haven’t tried their lip balm yet so this is the perfect product to add to me Me Time collection. It has the perfect peppermint aroma that soothes and cools the senses. It’s a smooth and moisturizing formula that applies and wears well. This is a great compliment to a hot summer day for parched lips.

Tiger Eye Puffy Heart Stone – Goddess Creations ($10)

“This crystal brings energies that release fear and anxiety and cultivates harmony. It aids in harmonious, balanced actions. It is said to bring the courage to make clear decisions and take right action.”

Tiger eye is such a beautiful stone, one I’ve always liked. This one is especially pretty since it’s cut in a heart shape. I love the energies it promotes as you certainly need to let go of anxieties to promote and courage. This is the perfect pocket sized stone that you can keep with you when you need a reminder to put forth your courage.

Abhaya Mudra (Fearlessness Gesture) Tray ($15)

“This delightful tray reminds us to embody the bhav (attitude) of fearlessness. It can be used to place your blessed jewelry or burn incense while practicing your yoga or meditation. Checkout our blog for info on this mudra.”

I love the design of this little dish and I love the inspiration it brings even more. This symbol is the gesture of reassurance and safety so it’s a good tool to use as a reminder when feeling anxious or stressed. It of course would make a great tray for jewelry, but I like the idea of using for incense during a meditation even more.

Every Body Yoga: Let Go of Fear, Get On the Mat, Love Your Body | Jessamyn Stanley ($16.95)

“The incredibly fun and funny author turns all ideas about westernized body perfection into heartfelt and sacred reflections on her own experience becoming body positive in the yoga world. We especially like the chart comparing ancient Yoga and modern western Yoga, the distinctions she makes are accessible and yet worthy of reflection. Great sequences included!”

How awesome to find such a wonderful resource in this month’s BuddhiBox! I love when books are included in subscription boxes, especially one like this that’s a resource and wealth of knowledge. Plus, there couldn’t be a better read to inspire courage with yoga. Sometimes yoga can feel out of reach or like only certain people can belong to it, so this is a great reminder that it’s for everyone and can be beneficial for anyone too. It seems like a super down to earth and witty approach to yoga that includes history, information and yoga pose suggestions too. I can’t wait to dive in to this read!

Courage Blessing Necklace | Whitney Howard Designs and BuddhiBox ($24)

“This necklace carries sweet blessings of intention for courage and strength. It’s circular form symbolizes unity and returning, again and again, to reaffirm your courageous essence, and living from the heart. The lotus image symbolizes beauty even in the most challenging of situations.”

This is a lovely and simple, yet inspiring necklace. On both sides there is an image of a lotus flower surrounded by text. One side reads “Brave Blessing Ring,” while the other side reads “Courageous, Brave and Strong.” It’s nice to have jewelry with printed inspirational messages to refer to in times of need. And since you can wear the piece around, the message can be with you always. This is a great, every day piece of jewelry that would match anything with it’s understated design.

Bonus Item: Bracelet Set

This item wasn’t on the card so I’m calling it a bonus item! It’s always fun to find extra surprises, especially ones this pretty. I love these dainty bracelets that can be worn together or separate. I’m not sure what the stone they are made of is, but it’s a metallic dark grey color. Perfect for day or night.

BuddhiBox Review July 2020 – Final Thoughts

This month’s BuddhiBox collection was such a good one! I especially love the theme and how everything really ties back into the idea of courage and finding it wherever you can. Courage doesn’t always come naturally so it’s great to have tools and reminders to get the thoughts to return to that state of confidence. Since it’s not always top of mind it was awesome to highlight the importance of courage with this month’s theme and items. I’m really excited about the inclusion of the book, but of course everything else is so wonderful too. I’m always looking forward to what the next month brings, but definitely want to get to reading before the next BuddhiBox arrives!
