Here’s a closer look at the November palette…….
Edition No.—05
’Tis always the season to party with this stepped-up palette of pinks and golds that turns fun into stunning. The attitude starts with a bit of lip, in a daring pink called Sass Queen—need we say more? Make your eyes flash with a golden shimmer set against our Luna purple, as deep as midnight. The pink Prosecco illuminator lights up any look with a perfect rose-tinted glow. Every shade pops with high-density, high-pigment color, and the palette is carefully selected to inspire multiple looks, from casual cocktails to strut-your-stuff affairs.
The following items were included in this month’s palette:
- cream lip color in – Pinky Promise & Sass Queen
- eyeshadow in – Dream, Gold Digger & Luna
- highlighter in – Prosecco
- cheekcolor in – Dusk
- eyeliner in – Twilight
- lip liner in – Belle
This month’s palette is gorgeous. I am a huge fan of purple. I wear purple shadow quite often because it complements my brown eyes. I love that they paired it with a gold shadow, I’ve never worn those two shades together. They are a perfect combination for the holidays.
Dream will be perfect as an all-over shade as well as a brow bone highlighter.
The cheek color is a little out of my comfort zone, but at the same time, it’s a shade I’ve been wanting to try. I always wear the same red/pink blush, and have since grade 9. It’s probably time to up my game.
The highlighter is beyond gorgeous. I rarely wear highlighter but this shade has me wanting to apply a little ASAP.
I really, really love the fact that they include a eyeliner and a lip liner every month. Both of these colors are very wearable. The only thing missing is mascara.
The November palette was a collaboration with YouTuber Amy-Rose Walker, she shares her expertise layering up high-impact hues, balancing textures and upping the stakes with ultra shimmery shadows.
Deck of Scarlet Review November 2017 – Final Thoughts
What gorgeous colors! The November Deck of Scarlet is definitely something to look at. All the shades go perfectly together and allow you to create a few different looks. Depending on how you apply the colors you could easily create a casual look, a date night look and an artistic look. I can definitely see myself wearing the eyeshadows, and the Pinky Promise lip color on a regular basis. I absolutely LOVE the look of the Sass Queen lip color as well as the Prosecco highlighter but will probably save those for special occasions. I’m usually pretty boring with my makeup but Deck of Scarlet has me wanting to get out of my comfort zone and wear all the pretty shades. I am a huge fan of this subscription. I love the price point, the simplicity and the convenience. Don’t want to pack your entire makeup bag with you on trips? Throw this bad boy in your travel bag, add you favourite mascara, and you are good to go!
