Decocrated is a home decor subscription box designed to evoke the season, keep your space feeling fresh, and work well with the pieces you already own and love. Here’s a look at the Spring edition.*
*They kindly sent us this box for review.
“This box has storage and organization solutions for every home. This collection focuses on the kitchen, but can be used throughout your space.”
— Decorated
Decocrated ships seasonally for $89.99 USD/box or you can pre-pay a year of boxes for $299.99 (a savings of $60/year). It currently ships across the US.
Each Decocrated box includes a product guide with tips on how to style the season’s pieces in your home. I’m really impressed with this season’s guide. So many great ideas and beautifully shot too.
“The easy to assemble two tier basket is perfect for someone who loves to entertain or organize their space! It’s made of black metal and has a light natural wood handle. We love that you can keep it out all year long!”
Two tiers makes this basket doubly functional with a minimal footprint, perfect to keep on the kitchen counter with fruits or veggies or at a buffet table with napkins and cutlery or on a desk with incoming and outgoing mail (especially if you’re tight for space). Loads of possibilities, really. It would even be cute in a guest room with some books and treats and toiletries, no? (That’s a guest room I’d like to stay in.)
“This ceramic and black metal pump dispenser set is the perfect addition to your home! This functional and fashionable set can be used throughout your home with your favourite soap or lotion.”
I think it was Marie Kondo who suggested swapping out branded bottles with more generic dispensers to minimize visual clutter. I might be wrong about that, but this set totally sparks joy. We keep one in the powder room with hand soap and the other by the kitchen sink with dish soap, but you could also keep them together and use one for hand lotion.
“The kitchen is truly the heart of the home! This double-sided faux cutting board adds a personal touch to your kitchen and by adding parchment paper it can also be used as a charcuterie board. Using the blank side, you can create your own design!”
This board looks better in photos than it does in person. The wood quality is sus (to borrow a word from my teenage son) and the phrase is printed on it, rather than carved into it as it might appear. Cute idea, but I wish it had been done better.
“This light natural wood book/tablet holder is not only beautiful but practical for everyday use! It can be used in your kitchen for holding your favourite recipe, in your office to hold your tablet, or places on your bath caddy while you relax and read!”
I’ve been circling similar tablet holders at HomeSense for a while and I’m so glad I didn’t go for it because this one is perfect. Sturdy enough to hold a cookbook (my favourite way to use it).
“This season, we’ve added an updated twist on everyday hooks! The hanging hooks have a black metal bar with faux leather hanging straps and hooks that can be easily taken off. The hooks are versatile for any room whether it’s your entryway, bathroom, or kitchen island!”
I haven’t decided where to hang these yet 🤔 but I like the idea. How would you use them?
If refreshing your space with new home decor makes you feel good and won’t break the bank, I say go for it. This is only my second seasonal Decocrated box (they also make themed add-on boxes for subscribers only) but it’s brought me a lot of joy.
What do you think of the Spring Decocrated box? Would it be fun and functional for you too? Would it work with pieces you already have? I’d love to hear.
