DeskGlam Review April 2017
DeskGlam is a subscription box service that delivers a monthly dose of charming, fun and functional desk accessories! They help keep you – and your workspace – pretty and productive! They kindly sent us this box for review.
We’ve got a brand new subscription box for you today, and it’s a good one!! We discovered DeskGlam a few weeks back and were impressed with this office supply subscription box right away! I’ve been reviewing subscription boxes long enough now that I can usually judge a box based on first impressions alone. And let me tell you, DeskGlam gives a great first impression. This is a box that covered ALL their bases prior to launching and that is something I appreciate.
Here’s what I look for in a new subscription box: descriptive name, professional logo, high quality branding & images, nice website, FAQ, and up-to-date social media accounts…..
I’m happy to report that DeskGlam has all these areas covered. We are off to a good start.
Subscription Details
It appears as though DeskGlam hasn’t officially launched their subscription box yet, but you can sign up on their website and be notified as soon as things are ready to go. I’m pretty sure they will be launching before the end of the month.
April Feature Brand
It looks like we have a feature brand for the month of April – Purposeful Indulgence. I’m not sure if this is something we can expect to see every month, but so far I am liking the idea. The product card contains a bio for the owner of Purposeful Indulgence as well as some fun facts.
Here’s a look at the items we received in the very first DeskGlam box:
Purposeful Indulgence File Folders (set of 3)
This is something I ALWAYS need in the office and never have. I don’t know why I forget to buy items like this, but they are essential and I really need to have a few of them on hand at all times. I love that they included file folders in their first box!!
Purposeful Indulgence Washi Bunting Banner
This little banner is so stinkin’ cute! I don’t really know what I would use it for, but it’s too cute to go to waste so I will figure something out.
Purposeful Indulgence Tassel Paperclips
Now this is what I am talking about! I freakin’ love tassel paperclips. Come to think of it, I love tassel anything when it comes to office supplies. These are great for keeping your spot in your notebook. I will definitely get use out of these.
Assorted Colorful Binder Clips
This is something I use all the time. I try to have an assortment of binder clips on hand at all times. I like to have all different shapes and sizes. The best is when you use a heart-shaped binder clip to hold all your receipts together and your bookkeeper makes fun of you when you drop the stack off to him at the beginning of the month.
Washi Tape Magnets (set of 2)
The back of my desk is actually a little magnetic board, and until now I didn’t have any magnets on it. These will be perfect to hang up notes or photos.
Desk Scent Sachet
I could smell this as soon as I opened the box. I love these little sachets like this and I actually wouldn’t mind having a box of them on hand. You can keep this in a drawer, your closet, your travel bag, and they also suggest keeping one in your stationery drawer to personalize your letters.
Pen & 3 Pencils
Love, love, love this pen!! It looks like a big pencil but when you push the eraser…..ta-da! It’s a pen! It’s a dark blue ink and it writes very well.
Succulent Sticky Notes
Oh my goodness! How fun are these!! I have no clue what I will use them for, but you better believe they are going to be used. You can probably only write on the light brown part, but who cares!! Tiny little reminders can fit there……at least.
Assorted Greeting Cards
No desk would be complete without at least a few greeting cards. I’m glad to see that they included these. I think they complete the box……along with the next item…..
Mini-Notebook
I would have been sad if we hadn’t received a notebook in the first box. Come to think of it, this would be a great addition to every box. I ALWAYS need more notebooks. This one will be great for my purse. I can use it for daily tasks, grocery lists, etc.
DAY OFF DELIGHT: Face Mask
It’s pretty fun that they included a beauty item in the box. I hope they do this every month. It’s the unexpected, and adds an additional element of surprise.
DeskGlam Review April 2017 – Final Thoughts
What a cute box!! I absolutely love my first DeskGlam delivery. But then again, I had a feeling I was going to like this box. Not only have they done an amazing job with their marketing, but I also happen to LOVE stationery. I’m a bit of an addict when it comes to notebooks, pens, and paperclips. The obsession started back when I was six. As soon as I could write I became fascinated with any sort of office supply. This new subscription is absolutely perfect for someone like me who has a home office and lives at her desk 24/7. If I am going to be a slave to my office, I want it to be pretty and I want it to be full of pretty office supplies. DeskGlam officially has my heart. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this year.
