Dollar Tea Club Review April 2021
Dollar Tea Club is a monthly subscription for loose leaf tea. You will receive a sample every month of ethically sourced teas for as little as a dollar. They kindly sent me this box to review. Today I am reviewing The Sommelier box.
The Dollar Tea Club this month has a very springy theme! It came in a small, basic cardboard box that is easily recycled. The packaging inside is full of cute little puns.
Tasting Notes Book
The tasting notes book is super helpful for a new tea drinker or someone who is anxious to branch out from their typical black tea. It helps you remember what teas you’ve enjoyed or not.
Ball Tea Infuser
It was so handy to have a good quality metal tea infuser included in the box. It was the perfect size for 1 cup of tea and the mesh is small enough that you don’t get particles in your tea.
HoneyStix
The HoneyStix included in the box was a nice treat and paired really well with the fruity teas. You can tell it’s good quality honey and it was really nice to take with me on the go so I could add sweetness once my tea had steeped.
Tea Filters
The disposable tea filters were so nice to have for my to-go cups! Makes for easy clean-up on the go. They are really good quality with no ripping or leaking.
Kompot Tea
This bag was large with 50g of tea. It has a super fruity taste with notes of apple, hibiscus, rosehip, mango, pineapple, elderberry and orange. Super refreshing served overtop of ice on a hot day! Also would be perfect for a springy cocktail mix!
Fruit Smoothie Tea
Smells like literal heaven!! An 8g bag with apple, hibiscus, rosehip, orange, banana, cherry and strawberries it is absolutely divine! Would be absolutely amazing hot or iced but I definitely prefer it iced! I am also planning on steeping it in a simple syrup to add to summer beverages or to drizzle over a simple pound cake!
Japanese Genmaicha
Super comforting and delicious served warm! An 8g bag of green tea with roasted and popped rice. This tea is something I’ve never tried before but it was a perfect addition to our dinner the other night when we made Sushi! Would definitely order again!
Crème Caramel
The perfect dessert tea when you’re trying to curb a craving! Simple with rooibos and calendula petals it’s amazing served warm with a touch of sugar and cream! Absolutely perfect on a cool spring evening! It was also an 8g bag.
Final Thoughts
All in all, another great box by the Dollar Tea Club! Perfect mixture of teas that are amazing served hot or cold! I love the versatility of the teas as well and that you can use them for recipes or as a cocktail flavouring! The items that were sent alongside the teas are awesome to help you prepare the best cup of tea.
