Elizabeth & Clarke Review Winter 2016
Elizabeth & Clarke Review Winter 2016
Are you all familiar with Elizabeth & Clarke? It’s one of the few fashion subscriptions I review. I wanted to point that out because I LOVE clothing subscription boxes but there’s only a few good ones to choose from………and this is one of the good ones.
Elizabeth & Clarke is a seasonal subscription service for designer-quality blouses and tees. You can choose to receive one shirt per season, two shirts, or three. They kindly sent me this box for review.
Subscription Details
Elizabeth & Clarke recently increased their prices. I should have kept the email we received because they explained the increase very well. The just of it is, their costs have increased and in order for them to keep providing the quality tops that we have come to love, they needed to increase subscription costs accordingly.
Let’s have a look at the Winter Collection:
The Davenport
Contemporary meets classic with the Davenport! This black cotton modal knit long-sleeved tee has a rib crew neck collar and is completed with a pearl print. Flaunt your inner Blair Waldorf style with this chic city look.
I have to be totally honest, I’m not loving this top. I’m pretty easy-going when it comes to my fashion subscriptions as I’m willing to try most trends, but I’m just not feeling the pearl print.
The Iris
The Iris is a vibrant uptown meets downtown style. This relaxed Ponte de Roma knit royal plum tee has mesh shoulder panels to add a minimal rocker vibe to your winter wardrobe. The Iris will provide that subtle edge you were looking for in just one shirt.
Wow, this color is absolutely gorgeous! I really love jewel tones, and this is the definition of jewel tones. And, the mesh panels add just the right amount of detail to the top without going overboard.
The Kimber
A cat on the chest pocket of this tee makes the Kimber a must-have! This grey melange cotton modal knit tee has playful yet comfy vibes needed to get through the cold season. Pair with leather pants for a great evening look.
I can’t figure out how I feel about this top. When I first saw the cat I was not a fan, but the more I look at the top the more I start to like it. I’m a huge fan of mixing styles and this would be perfect for that. I could style it with a pair of my favourite jeans, a great handbag and a pair of stylish booties.
Elizabeth & Clarke Review Winter 2016 – Final Thoughts
I have to say, this isn’t my favourite collection from Elizabeth & Clarke, but they’ve definitely opened my mind to some new style options. I would NEVER pick out a cat tee on my own, but it is going to fun to style. I think I would have liked to see the cat tee paired with something other than the pearl print top. If you aren’t a fan of prints on your tops then you will only end up liking 1 out of the 3 tees. I think it’s also because I’m not use to seeing such casual pieces in my Elizabeth & Clarke boxes. It took a little getting use to. It wasn’t love at first sight, but the more I thought about it the more I appreciated the Collection.
What do you think of The Kimber top? How would you style it?
