EsianMall is a monthly subscription box service that offers gamers, geeks, anime fans, and cosplayers the best Asian snack and beauty products.
Choose between a Spa Box for $24.95 a month and receive a total of 5-6 items or a Glamour Box for $59.95 per month and receive a total of 6-8 items. They kindly sent us this box for review.
I love the theme of classic gamer, but I was a little disappointed that more items didn’t actually have to do with gaming. Based on the insert I was expecting items around Mario Brothers, Kirby and other 8-bit games.
The beauty box provides you with 5-6 items. Let’s see what’s in store!
Gold Nose and Nose Pack
This 3-step nose treatment will remove dirt and oils in your skin, as well as dead skin and blackheads. Apply sheet 1 to your nose for 15 minutes. Then apply sheet 2 until it becomes dry. Finally, apply sheet 3 for 5 minutes and remove
When I first pulled this item out it reminded me of the powdered sugar packs where you would dip a candy stick! I had to look again to see that it was actually a face product! I’m always up for trying something new to help with face blemishes and look forward to seeing how this one works out.
Naive Face Wash
Using this cleansing foam will leave your skin hydrated, soft and smooth. There are many scents and types of foam available, and you’ll get a foam with a pleasant fragrance of either peach, green tea or aloe.
It looks like I received the aloe scented wash. That would be the one I would choose in stores given the choice. The cream itself seems really heavy and heavy scented. I’m pretty careful about the type of cleansers I use and with the backing being in Korean I’m a little hesitant to give this one a try without knowing exactly what’s in it.
Cookie Hand Cream
Your hands will be left feeling soft and smelling delicious after using this cookie-flavoured cream! This deliciously scented cream is sure to keep your hands supple this winter! There’s Mint Cookie or Strawberry Cookie flavour.
This is the cutest looking little lotion! I can’t smell it, as it’s got a foil over the opening and I’m not yet sure if I’ll keep it or give it away. I also don’t know how I feel about being told the options of what I could have received. I think that can make me feel like I missed out on a better product.
Rose Face Mask
This face mask is packed with botanical extracts that’ll brighten your skin, and calm irritation while leaving you smelling like a rose! Soothes skill with cucumber, kiwi, and pineapple extracts creating a radiantly, soft and healthy skin!
Once again, with all the ingredients listed in Korean I would be hesitant to try this. I do like a good face mask though and I’ve been loving spoiling myself, so I just might grab this on the way to the bath!
Triforce Necklace
It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this. Our special Geek Chic accessory this month is a “Legend of Zelda”pendant necklace! This chunky necklace will enhance any outfit!
This was the only true gamer item found in the box. I can see how this box is more of a beauty box with a small gamer twist, which feels a little misleading.
EsianMall Beauty Box -Final Thoughts
I don’t feel overly impressed with this box and the items it provided. I can’t say I would readily use these items, but would be more curious to try them because I have them. I think if I’m going to invest in a box I want to be super excited about most or all of the items included.
