May Box Details ($86 value)

“The May box theme is a “Trip to the Farmer’s Market” – Bee sweeter to the planet and reduce your plastic waste on your next trip to the market.”

I am so excited that farmer’s market season is back to a more normal routine. I love the open air shopping for fresh local goods and this month’s collection is absolutely the perfect pair for those weekend shopping trips.

Here’s a look at what’s in this month’s Essentials Crate box:

Market Tote ESSENTIAL LIVING ($45)

“Made with high quality canvas & vegan leather, this handmade tote is ideal for trips to the farmer’s market, grocery store, beach, picnics & more. Includes 6 compartments for eggs, milk, baguettes, wine, produce, bottles etc. & an exterior strap to hold your flowers.”

Wow this is such a great bag for farmer’s market-ing! It so thoroughly contains all the storage pockets you could possibly want and need. I can see this being the perfect companion for weekend morning shopping. And I love the leather-look details to give it a more trendy look.

Reusable Produce Bag Set ESSENTIAL LIVING ($22)

“Ditch the plastic bags & start using these reusable cotton bags during your grocery hauls. Comes in a set of 3 cotton mesh & 3 cotton muslin bags in S, M, L. Use the mesh bags for produce & herbs and the muslin bags for bulked goods like beans & rice. Tare weight listed.”

This is an amazing set of produce bags! It awesomely includes two different types of bags that each come in 3 different sizes for literally any grocery/market need. Since I’ve been getting back to grocery and farmer’s market shopping I’m looking to do more bulk shopping so these will totally come in handy.

Cotton Net Bag ESSENTIAL LIVING ($13)

“This durable yet lightweight cotton net bag, also included in the Reusable Zero Waste Market Bag Set, is perfect for carrying groceries or picnic & beach necessities. Expandable to hold all of your goodies yet super compact when not in use. Can hold up to 40 lbs..”

I love these little net bags! They are so handy and convenient. They hardly take up any space, are super lightweight and can hold so much. These are so great for taking to the beach, but also would be perfect for stocking up on produce at the farmer’s market.

Organic Honey BEE SEASONAL ($6)

“This Brazilian honey is 100% pure raw, non-GMO, unfiltered, unpasteurized & USDA certified organic and certified kosher honey. Comes in two flavors: Silvestre wildflower & Angico Blossom. Use on your next cheeseboard or acai bowl creation.”

This honey looks so delicious and fancy! I thing I’ve actually eyed this brand before and have wanted to try it so I’m happy to find it in this month’s box. It’s a great item to pair with all kinds of finds from a farmer’s market trip. I love using honey for all my sweetener needs so I will be digging right into this one.

Essentials Crate Review May 2021 – Final Thoughts

What a fun and timely theme for the tail-end of spring and beginning of summer! I just really love shopping from small businesses for fresh and local goods at farmer’s markets so I’m really excited about the May Essentials Crate. Since we just moved to a new area we’re really looking forward to finding new farmer’s markets and I know these items will be making the trip too. Everything is so perfect for collecting and bringing home all kinds of healthy, delicious foods. Every month this box comes up with such wonderful themes and once again has sent items that fit the theme perfectly and are oh-so-useful.
