Here’s a closer look at what we received in the Spring Extraordinary Man Box……
AG Balance Shampoo ($30)
We toured the new Vancouver headquarters of AG when it first opened. The welcome was gracious…. and the products blew us away. This apple cider vinegar shampoo perfectly encapsulates their core promises: simple, effective, vegan-friendly, and cruelty-free. Formulated with 98-percent plant-based and naturally derived ingredients, this shampoo harnesses an exclusive blend of rosemary, lavender, lemongrass and clary sage essential oils to provide natural fragrance and the benefits of aromatherapy. Its ideal for all hair types.
Oh my…..this shampoo smells SO good! I love the mixture of rosemary, lavender, lemongrass as they are some of my faves. I wonder if I can keep this one for myself?! Either way, this is much appreciated and its from one of my favorite hair care brands.
Riversol Hand Balm ($22)
The professional-grade products of Vancouver’s Riversol were formulated by Dr. Jason Rivers to aid patients looking for a healthy glow. This hand balm provides intensive hydration, which we all could use after more than a year of constant washing and drying to avoid germs and bacteria. The fragrance-free formulation is perfect for scent-sensitive locales and the hygienic aluminum tube even keeps bacteria and contaminants out.
Riversol is a brand we have received a few times over the last year but I am yet to try any of the products. So…..I broke open this hand balm the moment I pulled it out of the box and tested it out. I have it on my hands as we speak and they are feeling so soft. I love that it is scentless as this is what I look for when it comes to body care products for the hubby. I am also happy to report that it absorbs nicely. It feels a tad greasy right after you apply it but after a minute or two it is fully absorbed.
Mistorm Socks ($17.99)
Toronto-based Mistrom Socks demonstrate a dedication to quality in both their products and client service that drew us to them instantly, and their thin yet warm merino wool socks are the perfect way to introduce our subscribers too. The dark grey shade is among the most versatile available and the high-quality fibre has made this pair – complete with hand-linked toe – into a frequent best seller.
We usually receive a pair of socks and this season we have received a new brand. I’ve never heard of Mistrom before but am more than happy to see what they are all about. We received a simple grey sock from their premium series. The material is very thin which makes them the perfect sock for Spring and Summer.
Bromance Eye Serum ($42)
Last season, we recommend the Age-Proof Peptide Moisturizer from Toronto’s BROmance. Due to popular demand, we asked if we could unveil a brand new offering to subscribers this time around. Their all-new eye serum is just the ticket. Lightweight and unique, it effectively smooths the appearance of wrinkles, evens skin tone and texture, and helps restore elasticity and firmness. Cruelty-free and paraben-free, it boasts hyaluronic acid, periwinkle, liquorice root extract and more. Plus, five percent of all sales are donated to Jack Org, a charity that strives to improve the mental health of men across the country.
Bromance is a brand we have seen before and after receiving the same brand in more than one box I felt the need to do a little research. This particular product is brand new so there are no reviews as of yet but when I was on their website I found out that they have their own subscription. It’s called the BROscription and it is $49.60 per month.
Brockman’s Chocolates Crunchetti ($5)
It’s always worth it to revisit a classic, so we figured it was time to again herald the wonders of Crunchetti. One of the most popular items introduced in our Summer 2020 collection, this snack food is the perfect combination of flavor and texture, and is available at retail in three flavors: dark, milk and white chocolate.
Oh my goodness……can we say EXCITED! Brockmann’s Crunchetti is one of my favorite treats so I’m very happy that they decided to feature it for a second time. I’m even more excited about the fact that I received the White Chocolate version. I am going to have a hard time sharing this one with my hubby.
AG Hands Free Hand Sanitizer ($9.99)
When COVID-19 hit British Columbia, AG instantly jumped in to help. They pivoted to create effective hand sanitizer to aid first responders, frontline workers and consumers alike. Their Hands Free formula is formulated with ethyl alcohol for maximum germ-killing ability, exceeding both CDC and WHO sanitizer guidelines. Eliminating 99.9 percent of germs, this favorite leaves hands feeling moisturized and protected.
Lastly we have a Hands Free Hand Santizier from the same brand that brought us the shampoo. AG is a brand that I am very familiar with and I love that they have embraced the current situation and produced a hand sanitizer of their own.
Extraordinary Man Box Review Spring 2021 – Final Thoughts
Extraordinary Man Box is one of the few men’s subscription boxes available in Canada and it also happens to be one of my faves. I think they do such a great job each season and they work with some of the best brands. I maybe would have liked to see a lifestyle item in the box, but other than that it’s pretty darn great. They get bonus points for featuring Brockmann’s Crunchetti for a second time. I will never get sick of seeing it in my Extraordinary Man Boxes:)
