Gen YZ Box Review (Y Box) October 2017
Gen YZ Box is a new subscription box for everyone else. Because being cool different is awesome! It’s a monthly box of awesomeness filled with cool, unique finds for amazing girls and young women. The value in each box is guaranteed to be at least $90! They kindly sent us this box for review.
Gen YZ Box is a brand new subscription box and we were lucky enough to receive their October Box early in order to show you just how awesome it is. We were excited about this box from the moment we found out about it, and the excitement level increased when we saw a spoiler for their first box. We are already in love with this subscription and think you will be too. Just wait until you see what’s included in their very first box – the October Box.
Subscription Details
When you sign up for a Gen YZ Box subscription you have two options to choose from:
- Gen Y Box is recommended for ages 16+. There are special items we include specifically for this box that will be curated for this age group.
- Gen Z Box we recommend for ages 15 and under. This box also includes different items that are curated specifically for the Gen Zers.
What You Get: Each month your box will be loaded with items from decor items for your room to rad accessories. Each box is jam packed with whimsical items that are unique, fun and expressive that you haven’t seen before. The best part is that each month it will be a surprise! At Gen Y/Z we want you to have a blast opening up your box each month and discovering the products inside. Every month will feature a minimum of 7-10 fabulous items that we absolutely love from brands we admire with a few bonus surprise items added in.

I LOVE this brand!! I am a huge fan of Kitsch hair accessories. I am always throwing my hair back and try to keep a few headbands on hand, whether it be in my purse, the bathroom, or my gym bag. They always come in handy.

Best subscription box item ever!!! Oh my goodness. I am so excited about this products. This was the spoiler for the October box and I almost peed my pants when I saw it. I’ve been looking for a lightbox for the longest time. I absolutely love these things!!! I already have so many uses in mind. On my desk with an inspirational quote, on the mantle with a holiday greeting, on my bar cart with a cheeky saying…….the possibilities are endless. They get HUGE bonus points for this one.
Sterling Silver Pineapple Stud Earrings ($17.49)
If you were a fruit, you’d be a FINE-apple! These solid 925 sterling silver earrings will help you tropics like it’s hot.
Now this is where it gets tricky. I love these little earrings and want to keep them for myself, but I also have 3 nieces, and all of them would absolutely love these……..hmmm…..what to do….
Rad Set of 5 Enamel Pins

Enamle pins are all the rage right now, and I’ve received the odd one here and there in my subscription boxes over the last few months, but I’ve never received a set of 5! This is awesome. Gen YZ Box really means business. It couldn’t be more perfect. I can keep one for myself, and give one to each of my nieces……and Ashley will probably want one too:)
Magic Magnetic Putty
You’re never too old for mindless fun! This takes regular “silly” putty and turns its awesomeness up to 11. Like any other putty, it can be stretched, bounced, molded, popped, and torn. However, when this putty is in the presence of a magnetic field, it exhibits fascinating properties. Hours of fun are guaranteed.
Where in the world did they find this! I’ve never heard of Magnetic Putty before. This is sure to start a fight with my nieces, they are all going to want this. But……once again I might have to keep it for myself. I heat it is highly addictive once you start playing with it. I am SO intrigued right now. And beyond impressed by the curation of this box so far…..

How could I be stressed or frustrated with a furry kitty pencil case sitting beside me?!

These gorgeous little goodies weren’t on the product card so I’m thinking they are bonus items. I honestly can’t get over the number of products in this box. The sticky notes are adorable and the floral washi tape is so pretty!
Gen YZ Box Review (Y Box) September 2017 – Final Thoughts
Wow, wow, wow! I am so impressed right now. I knew I was going to like Gen YZ Box, but had no clue that it was going to be this awesome. They have exceeded my expectations. Not only is their mailing box one of the best I’ve seen, but they have also included way more products than I was expecting and provided really great value. I love every single detail. From the graphics on the box, to the informative product card, to the adorable little “welcome to our flock” card, the feather sitting on top of all the items, the bonus products, and everything else. Oh, and did I mentioned the bonus items?! That Flamingo necklace is fabulous!! I feel like I could go on and on about this box and how amazing it is. I can’t believe this is their very first box. They have done an exceptional job. Really, they have! In regards to the products specifically, I am in love. I found the box so much fun to go through and can only imagine what my nieces would say if I gave this to them as a gift. They would lose their minds, I guarantee it. Gen YZ Box is officially at the top of my Gift Guide list for teens and tweens. I’m already excited for their next box, and the one after that, and the one after that………you get the point:) It might be geared towards teens and tweens, but I am a huge fan myself.
