Gentleman’s Box Review April 2016
Gentleman’s Box is one of the best Men’s subscription boxes on the market. They are going to be around for a very long time because they have a pretty good thing going. They have a great price point, high value month after month, and they are consistent. Some months are better than others, but on the whole, I love everything I get in this box.
If you aren’t familiar with Gentleman’s Box it is the first subscription box that caters to the modern gentleman. Each month honors a noteworthy gentleman from the past or present. Items in their subscription box for men are hand selected to reflect the carefully crafted image of that month’s honored gentleman. Four to five products, including a subscription to GQ magazine, arrive at your doorstep monthly. This box was provided complimentary for review and may include affiliate links.

This month’s Gentleman’s Box honors “Our Favourite Superhero” and boy am I glad the BF dragged me to see Batman VS Superman because I actually know who the noteworthy gentleman is this month. Actually, I can probably thank my older brother as well, he use to make me watch Superman when we were growing up, and as much as I hated it back then, the hours of movie boredom are coming in handy now.
Wolf Clothing Co. Laven Socks ($14) – Yes! How great is this colour combo. As much as I LOVE pink, I’m not a huge fan of Men wearing pink shirts……but, pink accessories are a different story altogether.
The Fashion Anchor Disposable Collar Stays ($15) – Well isn’t this just a great little product. I actually kind of wish I had these when I worked at the retirement home. I use to pin my collars when they wouldn’t stay flat, and these would have been s0 much easier to use.
Knot Society Navy Polka Dot Tie ($30) – Nothing too fancy about this month’s tie, but it is very versatile. It’s a colour/pattern that every guy should have in their closet.
Gentleman’s Box Eye Glass Tie Clip ($20) – Now we are talking! This is my favourite item in the box, and the one that best fits the theme. I’ve been spoiled with all the great tie clips I’ve received over the last year, and now find myself looking for one anytime I see a man in a suit. And…..I totally judge him if he isn’t wearing one…….but shhhhh, don’t tell.
Frey Detergent for Men ($6) – I LOVE the idea of laundry detergent for Men, but I think it is most appropriate for bachelors, or boyfriends still living in their own place. Because, let’s be honest, as soon as guys and girls cohabitate, all the wash gets done together and I don’t want my dresses smelling like Men’s cologne.
Value: $85
Thoughts: Always done well, always coordinated, and always professional. This is what you can expect from Gentleman’s Box when signing up for a subscription. I am never disappointed with this box, and never have anything less than wonderful to say about it. This is one of the boxes that makes my life easy, and enjoyable. They cover all my subscription box “must-haves” and I never have to struggle to see the good in it……the good is just there, as soon as I open the box, all up in my face, month after month……there’s the good.
XOXO
