GlobeIn Artisan Box Review August 2021: The Beaut Box

GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring handmade, ethically sourced products from makers around the world. Each month subscribers can choose from a selection of boxes curated around a theme. Here’s a look at the Beaut box that was kindly sent for review for August 2021.

Each GlobeIn Box is valued at $70 to $150 USD and usually includes four to five items. Subscribers can also choose additional products to customize their box.

Subscription prices are as follows (all prices in USD):

Shipping in the US is $10/month (your first box ships free); shipping to Canada $22/month (your first box ships free); and international shipping is $25/month.

Each GlobeIn box includes a welcome card with a picture of the contents on one side and a QR code for the online brochure on the other. The brochure sets the tone for the box with an introductory message suggesting uses for the products, followed by descriptions of the contents and the makers behind them.

Bamboo Silk Scarf – Light Indigo (India)

This beautifully handmade scarf is incredibly soft and would brighten up any outfit. After reading the online brochure I learnt that it was actually dyed with natural dyes and woven together using traditional weaving techniques from India. I can’t wait to wear it soon and I think it would be perfect for wrapping around my shoulders during these last few summer nights on the patio.

Seed Bead Earrings – Adella (India)

When it comes to earrings I usually wear little gold hoops every day. So receiving these handmade indigo seed bead earrings are a little out of my comfort zone – but I’m absolutely going to wear them on my next day out. Ameena, the artisan who created the earrings was also pushed out of her comfort zone when she began crafting these earrings. Due to her husband being laid off from his job during the pandemic, she took a beadwork class and became the sole breadwinner of her family. How incredible is that?!

Sari Knotted Headband (India)

I actually was looking to buy a knotted headband recently, so I was so happy to see this bold and colorful knotted headband in this month’s box. It is so on trend right now and perfect to get my bangs off my face in this August heat. I also really appreciate how these headbands give a second life to saris. Artisan’s will re-craft disposed saris into accessories which keeps them out of the landfills!

Round Straw Moroccan Bag (Morocco)

I couldn’t be happier with this spacious Moroccan bag made out of palm leaf. It was a little squished when I initially opened the box, but was easy to reshape and the leather handles should straighten out in time. I have a pool day scheduled for this coming weekend and I think this bag will hold everything we need – I may even be able to get a bottle of rosé to fit in there too!

GlobeIn Artisan Box Review August 2021 – Final Thoughts

I was absolutely thrilled with all the items in this month’s GlobeIn Artisan Box and I love that I can receive items from all over the world that I may not usually purchase for myself. But I also really love GlobeIn’s mission. They hope to grow alongside artisans from around the world by connecting them with conscious consumers in an effort to enrich the lives of individuals and their communities while showcasing delightful products from around the globe.
