GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring favorite products from global artisans. Each box is curated around a monthly theme selected by the editor with the aim of helping you experience new and interesting products and cultures. They kindly sent us this box for review.
GlobeIn Artisan Box is one of my favourite boxes to receive. Truly, it is. If I was going to buy myself a Valentine’s Day present (which I usually do) I would get myself a 3-month subscription to this box, actually I would probably go with a 6-month subscription. The items I receive in this box are the items that get used most often, out of all the products I receive.
Fun Fact: By supporting GlobeIn, you help reduce poverty by giving their artisans and their communities, a global audience.
February Theme
The theme for February is Dream. I didn’t receive a product booklet this month and couldn’t find details on their website, but I found some info in one of their spoiler emails:
Use your new dream journal to write your way into your dreams, whether it be through recording them, collaging inspiring daily tidbits, or just musing diary-style. Meanwhile, consider your palm leaf pouch your own personal wishing well, your spacious and carefree tote the perfect dreamer’s accessory, and your dessert bowl a special vessel for sweet, dream-inducing treats.
Dream Tote
Like I mentioned above, I didn’t receive a product card so I don’t have details on any of the items we received this month.
What I do know is that this tote is awesome! It is big and sturdy and adorable. At first I thought it might be too big, but it’s actually pretty perfect. The canvas material is thick, which is a nice change from the thin canvas bags I usually receive. I will keep this in my car for trips to the grocery store.
Palm Leaf Pouch
I received a palm leaf pouch in my limited edition jewelry box last year. It’s a nice change from the palm leaf basket. You could use this to carry money, makeup, jewelry or any other small items.
Dream Journal
This is a really gorgeous journal. The gold detail and the dark purple are such a pretty combination. The pages are blank and have a bit of texture to them. I will definitely be using this.
Dessert Bowl
Oh my goodness, this is so cute! I am obsessed with ALL of GlobeIn’s ceramic pieces. I don’t really think this particular piece fits with the theme but that doesn’t bother me at all because I am super happy to have received it. I use these little dessert bowls for snacks, dips, and coconut ice cream. Now I just need to get my hands on their coffee mugs.
GlobeIn Artisan Box Review February 2017
Even though I love all the items we received in this month’s GlobeIn Artisan Box, I’m not sure I’m loving the curation. Don’t get me wrong, that’s not meant to be negative, because I absolutely love the box, I just think the curation has been better in some of their other boxes. Each piece individually is pretty darn awesome, and I think the tote and journal go well together. I just think the dessert bowl is a little out of place. Overall, this continues to be one of my favourite subscriptions. I’m pretty sure I tell you that in every single review, but I honestly don’t see it changing anytime soon, so you will probably continue to hear it month after month.
