Here’s a closer look at the Mindfulness box…….
Mala Beads – India
In India beautiful strands of mala beads are traditional objects of prayer and meditation. One way they’re used is for reciting mantras, in which a chosen mantra is chanted once for each of the 108 beads, with fingers tracking slowly along the strand. They can also simply be held during secular meditation, their physical presence bringing focus to one’s intention.
Mini Usha Bells – India
This wind chime has provided metal smithing artisans regular working for 2 entire months, and generated a livelihood for many more to come. Hang outside as a calming wind chime, or on a door to announce your presence at home after a long day’s work.
Lineas Basket – Mexico
Your beautiful Lineas Basket is a creation of weaving partners in Oaxaca. Use it to collect daily affirmations, write them in pieces of paper, drop them in the basket and set daily intentions.
Reed Diffuser – Mexico
A glass jar, reeds, and oil are all you need for a reed diffuser. Your jar is hand-blown glass made at the Cristaluc workshop in Tonala. Blend 20-25 drops of one or more essential oils with 1/4 cup of a base oil such as coconut, safflower, or sweet almond oil. Pour this mixture into your glass jar. Place the reeds in the bottle, soaking one end. Then flip the reeds so that the soaked ends are out in the air. Continue to flip the reeds about once a week until your reads are saturated with oil.
GlobeIn Artisan Box Review June 2018 – Final Thoughts
This month’s GlobeIn Artisan Box is a really great reminder to slow down and be mindful. It sounds funny because shouldn’t that be something we all do on a regular basis? Something we are programmed to practice? Today’s world is a little too fast-paced and a little too stressful. That’s why I appreciate the June GlobeIn Artisan Box so much. It’s full of gorgeous items, all of which will remind me to take a deep breath and just relax.
XOXO
