GlobeIn Artisan Box Review December 2017: Cheers

GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring favorite products from global artisans. Each box is curated around a monthly theme selected by the editor with the aim of helping you experience new and interesting products and cultures. They kindly sent us this box for review.

The GlobeIn Artisan Box is one of the boxes Shonah and I fight over. We both love this box and would definitely consider it a favourite. It probably ranks up in the top 5 for me, as I am sure it does for Shonah as well. She recently reviewed the Play box and said it was probably her favourite box from GlobeIn thus far.

Subscription Details

GlobeIn has recently made some changes to the Artisan Box:

Here’s a closer look at the Cheers box…….

December Theme: Cheers

Let us raise a toast. To a youthful glassblower who started from humble beginnings and is now a master of his craft. To the go-getter spirit of a young girl setting out on her path and fiercely raising money to apply to college. To women around the world taking their livelihoods into their own hands.

To elephants – and to the humans who hold a creative vision of environmental and wildlife conservation occurring in tandem with human prosperity.

To you! and to the vital part you play in these global reasons to be glad. In turn, we send this box to lend a hand in your own rituals of gratitude. Send a cheerful note to someone you love, clink glasses in honour of something in your life that sparkles, spread gorgeous, handwoven cloth across your table as the foundations of some celebratory meal.

Confetti Champagne Flutes (Mexico)

Pour something bubbly into your new, confetti-colored flutes to celebrate your own happy occasions and moments of triumph.

Not only are these champagne flutes gorgeous but they are also perfect for the time of year. I LOVE that we received these prior to Christmas and New Years. They are the perfect excuse to enjoy a glass of champagne and OJ on Christmas morning……..and New Years morning…….and any other occasion that calls for mimosas.

Checkered Table Cloth (India)

Stitch your own celebrations together with the triumph of the artisans who made this tablecloth by gracing your table with their gorgeous craft. Delight your guests. Let everyone’s joy be intertwined. Spread cheer far and wide.

You don’t even know how long I have been waiting for a table cloth to show up in one of my GlobeIn boxes. I am so unbelievably happy right now. I actually put off purchasing a table cloth with the hopes that we would receive one from GlobeIn. I spotted one on their website a little while back and it was love at first sight.

Elephant Poo Greeting Card (Sri Lanka)

Since elephant’s diet is purely vegetarian, its waste is basically raw cellulose, able to be cleaned and processed into a fine acid-free paper. When it comes to elephant poo paper products, all hands are on deck. Mr. Ellie Pooh trains villagers to make paper and hires local artisans to make the products. And the elephants, well, they do their part too. Send some cheer to someone you love……just because.

You learn something new every day. I’ve heard of elephant poo paper before but I didn’t know the reason behind it. I’m glad GlobeIn gave us details on how/why the paper is made. Vegetarian diets are the way to go!

Mini Palm Leaf Basket (Mexico)

Now this is different. We usually receive a large palm leaf basket, and as much as I love those, I am very happy to receive a smaller version. This is perfect for candy, pencils, makeup brushes, you name it. I can think of a hundred different ways to use this.

GlobeIn Review December 2017: Cheers

This is a lovely box, perfect for the time of year, and full of wonderful items. I will get use out of all the products and am super happy to have received then in time for the holidays. I am going to use the champagne flutes for Christmas morning mimosas and the table cloth for Christmas lunch. The same applies for New Years day and any other special occasion that calls for beautiful table decor. Home decor subscription boxes are few and far between. I think that’s why I love GlobeIn so much. They send us a variety of items but some of those items end up being gorgeous home decor products – dishes, glasses, mugs, linens, coffee table decor……just to name a few. Now do you see why Shonah and I fight over this one?

XOXO
