GLOSSYBOX Review May 2020

GLOSSYBOX is a US subscription box that delivers five deluxe or full-size beauty products every month. May’s box is about exploring your wild side (rarr rarr!) and shipped in one of two snazzy boxes, leopard print or zebra.*

*They kindly sent us this box for review.

GLOSSYBOX offers four subscription options (all prices in USD):

  • monthly ($21/month, billed monthly)
  • 3 months ($58.50, paid upfront)
  • 6 months ($111, paid upfront)
  • 12 months ($210, paid upfront)

Each box is at least $60 in value, and often much more. Shipping in the US is free and shipping to Canada is $5/box + any duties and customs fees.

The product card is one page that opens to full-colour photos and descriptions of the contents, where you can find them and the retail price, as well as tips on how to best apply them.

Eyeshadow Palette

“The possibilities are endless with this eyeshadow palette! With metallics and dark colors, you can rock your bold or smokey look as much as you like! ($38)”

When you’ve been reviewing beauty boxes for a long time it’s not surprising to get duplicates. And it really doesn’t bother me in the least — I just gift them to family and friends. I’ve already got the same shades in at least two other palettes so I’ll pass this one along.

Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner

“Say yes to this super fine, super back liquid eyeliner. This handy pen has a narrow, pointy tip to give you ultimate control and the formula is waterproof so it won’t budge during the day. Try a neat, subtle line to enhance your lash volume, or go wild and wing it out — it’s up to you! ($22)”

I have a couple of these Sharpie-like Eyeko eyeliners and they’re great. But I don’t need another just now so off it goes.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm

“This powerful, deep cleansing balm dissolves make-up, daily grime and pollutants. Luxurious rose and mimosa waxes are infused with nourishing elderberry, starflower and optimega oils. ($14)”

Elemis had me at collagen, but it also feels amazing. I don’t know if it’s as effective, but I’d much rather get my collagen in my skincare than a powdered drink. Do you take collagen in some form? Which one makes the biggest difference?

Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme (various shades)

“Be ready for anything with this lovely high impact liquid lipstick that lasts for hours without the need to touch-up. Full coverage + matte finish = fab in two seconds flat. ($20)”

I have this colour or very similar shades in a few different formats so my bestie gets this one. (This is turning out to be more of an unboxing post than a review. I hope you don’t mind! )

CBD FX Face Mask (Various)

“This line of reformulated 50mg CBD face masks are made with a topical boost of organically grown hemp CBD combined with traditional skincare ingredients like charcoal, aloe vera, rose extract and hyaluronic acid. Designed to soothe, hydrate, and clarify your skin during the beginning of summer! ($6.99)”

I use a charcoal face mask from a jar a few times a week and I’m convinced it’s the secret to clear skin for me so this could be a great match. Trying it soon.

May’s GLOSSYBOX is valued at $100.99 and it’s spot on. I would happily use every one of these products if I didn’t already have ones just like them, and I’m just as pleased to share.

What do you think of May’s GLOSSYBOX? Do you use any of the products or other products from these brands?
