Holly Journals Review April 2017
Holly Journals is a Stationery Subscription Box for monthly themed, unique, handmade journals with other coordinating treasures to inspire and encourage your journaling adventures! They kindly sent us this box for review.
It’s official, the entire AYOB team is obsessed with this box! Shonah got to review Holly Journals for the first time last month and she instantly fell in love. It’s going to be a bit of a problem because we will be fighting over this box going forward. We will probably have to alternate reviews just to keep it fair:) So, this month I am going to do the review, next month Shonah will do the review, and so on and so on. Unless I decide that I simply can’t part with any more of these GORGEOUS journals, because let me tell you, it was REALLY hard to hand over the box last month.
April Theme
The theme for this month’s Holly Journals is Spring Ride. Here’s what they had to say about it:
I always get so excited at the first hint of Spring and anything green. This month’s journal is “littered” with some of my favourite words, quotes on life, and of course, bicycles – I LOVE bicycles. Riding bike was one of my favorite things to do as a kid. Even today just the sight of a bicycle makes me long for carefree time.
Fall will always be my favourite time of year, but Spring is a close second so I already know I am going to love this month’s journal. Let’s have a closer look…..
Journal
Yup! It’s official! I love this month’s journal. But then again, do I ever not like my Holly Journals? Every month is just as gorgeous as the last. But one thing is for sure, I really am loving the colors and details in the April journal. It’s just so darn pretty. I feel relaxed and peaceful just looking at at.
Journal Jewelry
Ummm….how freakin’ cute is the journal jewelry this month! The bike, the bird, and the quote! It really couldn’t be any cuter than it is.
Pens
We received 3 pens this month. The striped pen writes is a gorgeous sky blue color, the clear pen is a frosty grey felt that writes beautifully, and the adorable little rabbit-ear pen writes in black.
List of Prompts
As always we have our list of prompts. This is one of my favourite Holly Journals features. This month the list has a Spring theme to it:
- my favourite thing about Spring
- my favourite flowers
- things I’d like to accomplish before Summer
Embellishment Pack
The embellishment pack really is a cute little addition to the box. The journals are gorgeous on their own, but sometimes its fun to be able to add your own little details to them.
Daisy Seeds & Garden Marker
Oh my goodness, this is the cutest idea ever!! A package of daisy seeds and a garden marker! Are you kidding me!! I have a little hill in the front of my house that definitely needs a sprinkle of daisy seeds.
Candies
And last but not least we have our journal treats. It’s really cute that they include some sort of candy every month.
Holly Journals Review April 2017 – Final Thoughts
This really is the cutest subscription we review here at AYOB…..hands down. The time and energy that goes into Holly Journals truly is amazing. You can tell that this is a passion project, and that makes the subscription ten times more valuable if you ask me. This month’s theme is probably my favourite, other than the Fall theme from the October box. It was the perfect little pick-me-up after struggling though a long Winter. Spring is such a beautiful time, as is this month’s journal. I feel lucky to have discovered this subscription box, that’s the best way I can describe it….lucky.
