Every now and then I come across a subscription box that gets me really excited. A subscription box that could be described as a hidden gem. A subscription box that puts a smile on my face and feels like a breath of fresh air. Well, I’m predicting that Inspired Book Club is one of those subscription boxes. It’s still too early to tell for sure. But I have a really good feeling about this one. It’s actually kind of funny. The AYOB team was at the post office together when this one arrived and we opened it right on the spot. I think we all had the same thought…….wow! This box looks SO fun! I actually felt a little guilty keeping it for myself. Ashley and Shonah would have loved to review this box. Now the dilemma starts……do I keep it for myself or share the love…..

Here’s a look at the items I received in my first Inspired Book Club:

Luna Tea Co. Magenta Tea

Oh my goodness!! How freakin’ cute is this little glass tube of loose leaf tea!! We are off to a really good start. This gorgeous packaging is already creating an experience and I love that. It is a blend of  hibiscus & rose hips & orange peel & lemon verbena & peppermint. It sounds amazing. And what a great idea to include tea every month for you to enjoy while you read.

Gabriel’s Good Tidings Keychain Wristlet

This lovely keychain wristlet boasts a black and gold arrow pattern and silver hardware. It’s designed to fit most wrists and allow you to go hands-free with your keys.

Ummm…..so darn cute!! I forgot how much I love arrow patterns. I love the idea of this wristlet, I feel like I will get a lot of use out of this. And the craftsmanship is wonderful. I kind of want a couple more of these!!

Glow for a Cause Body Butter

A decidedly young and uplifting scent with a vibrant blend of florals and a dash of sunny citrus. Our luxuriously rich body butter with nature’s best moisturizing oils of coconut, jojoba, sunflower and vitamin E, hydrates and protects the skin while leaving behind a sexy and lasting scent.

Love, love, love Glow for a Cause!! I am so excited to see this in the box. I discovered this brand thanks to my subscription boxes and am a HUGE fan. I have a couple of their solid perfumes, a couple of their roll-ons, and one of their face creams. Can they include this brand every month? Is that too much to ask? They have quite a few different scents and I want to try them all!

Black Lantern Tote

This original design featuring a patterned arrow design invokes the ancient skills of woodcraft and hunting that were vital to wilderness survival.

Wow, not only do I LOVE receiving canvas tote bags, I also love that they matched the tote to the wristlet. Their curation is on point!! I can’t wait to see if all of their boxes are done this well.

Tea Steeper

This tea steeper is actually pretty perfect. First of all, I LOVE it when boxes include items that go together. This can be used with the tea we received. Second, the purple stone is gorgeous and happens to be similar to my birthstone. Absolutely gorgeous!!

The Happiness Project! Gretchen Rubin

Gretchen Rubin had an epiphany one rainy afternoon in the unlikeliest of places: a city bus. “The days are long, but the years are short,” she realized. “Time is passing, and I’m not focusing enough on the things that really matter.” In that moment, she decided to dedicate a year to her happiness project.

In this lively and compelling account, Rubin chronicles her adventures during the twelve months she spent test-driving the wisdom of the ages, current scientific research, and lessons from popular culture about how to be happier. Among other things, she found that novelty and challenge are powerful sources of happiness; that money can help buy happiness, when spent wisely; that outer order contributes to inner calm; and that the very smallest of changes can make the biggest difference.

Normally I’m not drawn to books like this, I usually prefer an easy read, a YA novel, or something along those lines. But……I read the first few pages of this book while peeking through the box, and I am hooked. The way Gretchen starts off the book, and the way in which she writes it makes it easy for me to relate too, and makes me want to sit down and read the entire thing this afternoon.

Inspired Book Club Review May 2017 – Final Thoughts

Wow, wow, wow! I am beyond excited about this subscription box and have come to a conclusion….there’s absolutely no way I will be able to share this box with anyone. Inspired Book Club has my name written all over it. This is what a book subscription box should look like! I LOVE receiving books in the mail, but it is way more exciting when they come with a lovely mixture of comforting items. My favourite thing to do is sit down with a cup of tea and read a book. So it’s absolutely genius to include tea in the box every month. But, I also love to receive a few lifestyle items each month, and most book subscriptionS skip past that part altogether. Inspired Book Club is the perfect mixture of sub box items. It’s a no-brainer if you ask me….you get a little bit of everything, not to mention the fact that they create a fun little reading experience for subscribers once a month…..I feel a new obsession coming on!

XOXO
