Ipsy Review September 2016
Wow, I just realized how late I am with my September Ipsy review. Sorry guys. This was one of the reviews that got put on the back burner while we moved. Ipsy is one of the most consistent beauty boxes I review. The continually put together great bags, full of great products, from great brands……..it’s just great!

September Details
This month’s Ipsy bag is titled “Glamazon”. The product card says – too glam to give a damn.
Put away your sweatpants, let down your ponytail and get slammed up just for the hell of it.
Eau Thermale Avère Hydrance Optimale Hydrating Serum
Zen relaxation for the face. Incredibly soothing, it keeps skin hydrated for a full 24 hours (for reals)—all the way through shavasana. High concentration of Avène Thermal Spring Water softens skin. Silky-smooth formula feels like a primer. Time to relax. Relieves tightness and irritation in the skin.
I’m not overly excited about this item, but I will talk about that more in my final thoughts.
Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme
Ready to compete in the next pout-off? Win by a landslide thanks to this incredibly effective formula that glides on clear and leaves lips plump and pink. Immediate satisfaction. Fullness you can see in seconds. Shine on. Reflects the light so there’s no need for color on top. Avocado and jojoba oil condition for a smooth finish.
Seraphine Botanicals Guava Butter
Butter us up. This nourishing and hydrating formula features pure shea butter and melts onto skin. Plus the natural peachy-pink shade brightens any skin tone. Subtle tint gives a beautiful glow. Sheer genius. Smooth finish that doesn’t look greasy. Goes the distance. Lasts up to 8 hours.
This is probably my favourite item in this month’s bag. The color is very pretty, and I like the compact size. It will fit nicely in my purse.
Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Champagne Socialite
A little more champagne? Yes, please. Pass the polish and show off this stunning bronze metallic shade with just the right hint of shimmer. Skip the double coat. Delivers an opaque effect in a single swipe. Thick formula dries fast to super shiny finish. 10-free and fabulous (aka none of the typical toxic ingredients).
Trust Fund Beauty is one of my favourite brands when it comes to polish. I love that they are 10-free and I always love their colors.
Clark’s Botanicals Age Defying Radiance Cream
Insta-glow. 18 active ingredients work to smooth, firm and tone skin—leaving a satin finish. No filter required for our fall photos. Sea buckthorn (an herb that’s rich in Vitamin C) evens out colouring. Tripeptides have anti-aging powers that address fine lines. It’s all good. No gluten, parabens or sulfates.
Ipsy Review September 2016 – Final Thoughts
In the last couple of reviews, I have talked about the fact that I don’t really like to receive face products. I’m not really too keen on trying new face serums, lotions and/or cleansers. So after my last review I went into my account and updated my beauty profile. I got rid of any references to face products with the hopes that I wouldn’t receive them anymore. Now, I have to say, I’m not sure how much Ipsy takes your beauty profile into account. Maybe they don’t really look at it….who knows. But I kind of did it as a test, I wanted to see if it would affect the items I received in my monthly bag. So far it looks like it hasn’t affected them at all, seeing as I received two face products this month. Oh well, I’m not complaining by any means. It was simply an experiment. Other than that I am super happy with my September bag!
XOXO
