KidBox Back to School 2018 Review
Back to school time has arrived and it can be hectic preparing you child for class. My oldest is starting his first year of school in the fall and we really put off school clothes shopping until this month. Lucky for us, KidBox offers a seasonal Back To School box making buying clothes for kids easy and fast.
What is KidBox?
KidBox is a personalized clothing box for kids delivered to your door 5 times a year – Spring, Summer, Back to School, Fall, and Winter. Their mission is to provide new outfits to children in need with every complete box purchased. Each box includes personalized outfits with top brands and styles for the season, making your shopping experience fun and convenient while saving you time and money.
How Does it Work?
You will be prompted to take a short style quiz before placing your order. I love how they ask anything from which style you prefer to what colors to avoid, this allows Kidbox to send you items you will love for the season. KidBox ships FREE. There are no styling or shipping fees, so it’s easy to sign up and get your first box. At first I wondered, what if my child just doesn’t need some items sent to us or maybe I just won’t like a certain item? The amazing thing with KidBox is that they allow you to keep what you love and send back the rest within 7 days! Wrong size? No problem! You’re able to ship it back at no cost to you and your stylist will assist you in exchanging the sizes.
What is Included?
KidBox sizes vary from 2T to 14 which include 6-7 items that total $98 when you purchase the entire box. They also have a Baby box for newborns up to 24 months which includes 5-6 items totaling $68. Our Back to School box included 3 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, a jacket and a pair of socks. Each box includes a breakdown of the items listing brand and prices. KidBox also has a uniform box available for a cheaper cost featuring clothing pieces by French Toast.
Miki B Camp Jogger (Retail: $36 Kidbox: $27)
First item listed were these blue joggers! My son is starting Pre-K this year and he still has trouble buttoning his pants at times so we typically aim for comfortable and easy to wear clothing pieces. Joggers are very convenient for smaller children so I am thrilled to see them included in our back-to-school box. The design and colors work very well with the clothing pieces my son already owns and we can easily pair these to match his style.
Lee Chambray Button Down Shirt (Retail: $35 Kidbox: $27)
Next was this stylish red button down shirt. We included button down as a preference in the style quiz as well as anything red since it is my son’s favorite color, so this shirt was a great addition to his box and special to him! This would be a great picture day shirt or for any event he may have for school.
PS from Aeropostale Patched Bomber Jacket (Retail: $42.50 Kidbox: $32)
This blue bomber jacket screams adorable! It features three patches on the front and side giving the jacket an overall stylish look. It is made with rain repellent material, which is a MUST HAVE in Texas weather. The inside is lined with olive green and the overall color combination is gorgeous. It is fairly lightweight and easy to zip so I wouldn’t worry sending my son to school with this jacket.
Frenchie Mini Couture Stripe Socks (Retail: $5 Kidbox: $3)
Socks are a necessity and I personally love that KidBox includes accessories inside of the boxes. You can never have enough socks! These are very fun and definitely give off back-to-school vibes. The quality is great! They also included a discount toward a Kidsentials pack for socks and underwear. After seeing how adorable these socks are, I am glad to be able to take advantage of that deal!
Lee Slim Fit Stretch Denim (Retail: $36 Kidbox: $27)
These denim jeans have a great stretch, perfect for athletic preschoolers. The tapered leg style gives breathable leg room and the snap button makes it easier on smaller children. When I purchase jeans, I always look for adjustable waist because my children are thin so I am glad these jeans will work well for us.
Lee Stretch Twill Cargo Jogger (Retail: $36 Kidbox: $27)
Next up is another pair of jogger style bottoms with cuffed ankles. Very stylish and a perfect fit for my son! I love the cargo style and these are very easy to put on and take off. The relaxed fit gives room to move around and the material is sturdy for those tiny adventurous children.
Losan Long Sleeve Tee (Retail: $17.93 KidBox: $15.00)
The weather is still warm out but fall will creep up soon and this long sleeve is perfect for the upcoming season! My son can wear this now with the sleeves rolled up and be comfortable with the summer ending weather. I like how KidBox slowly transitions the boxes into the next season. The material is soft and comfortable. This shirt pairs well with the khaki joggers or jeans easily!
KidBox Back-To-School 2018 Review – Final Thoughts
KidBox has made school shopping easy for us this year! The pieces we received this season are perfect for Back to school. The designs and overall look of each item is simple and not too distracting for school. The colors are soft and fit our style perfectly! Everything fit nicely for us and sizing is pretty spot on. Simplicity and style are two things I look for when shopping for my preschooler and KidBox has delivered with this box. If I was out shopping I would have grabbed similar styles and colors for my son’s wardrobe so I’m glad we saved a trip or two by using KidBox!
