Here’s a closer look at the snacks I received in my April Laid Back Snacks box….
PG Chocolate Granola
Details: With the huge success of Goji Granola, April went back to the development kitchen to work on her next masterpiece. This peanut butter and chocolate recipe is made with all the love and care of the original formula, with a little added indulgence. Dark chocolate helps lower blood pressure and is a good source of vitamin E. Enjoy more than a dozen organic ingredients that go into making this granola such a healthy snack for your heart and brain!
Why I Love It: Lately I have been eating oatmeal for breakfast 3-4 times per week, and one of my favourite ways to enjoy it is topped with coconut yogurt and a sprinkling of PB Chocolate Granola. You MUST try it! It is SO good!
Weekend Crunch
Details: If you’re looking for a tasty alternative to nutrient-free potato chips, then look no further. Weekend Crunch has been designed to give you the same crunch satisfaction, but with none of the nasties. This thirst inducing treat is high in protein, fibre, and contains nutrient levels to help you relax throughout the day. Perfect for when your favourite team is playing and there are bragging rights on the line. Go get ’em!
Why I Love It: Weekend Crunch has become one of my favourite salad toppers. I tried sprinkling it on my Thai cabbage salad the other day and now I am hooked! Try adding to your favourite salad….I’m thinking I might try it on my vegan caesar salad next.
Morning Bestie
Details: Take your morning break to the next level. Ditch the high-calorie baked goods from the coffee shop and spend it with your Morning Bestie instead. The roasted edamame beans in this snack are low calorie and a great source of dietary fibre, while the antioxidants from the dried cranberries help keep your body running smoothly. The best part of course, the delicious 70%+ dark chocolate is linked to 40+ health benefits. See ya later oily muffins!
Why I Love It: First of all, I love that this is a nut-free trail mix alternative. And…..lately I have been loving it as an afternoon snack sprinkled on top of coconut yogurt. You could even try it on ice cream!
Protein Power-Up
Details: Building a strong body starts with good protein, whether you’re a veteran athlete or just hitting the beach weights for the summer. Get the fuel you need for growth through almonds loaded with potassium, protein-rich cashews, high fibre chickpeas, and cranberries with high nutrient and antioxidant content. Yoghurt chips give a smooth finish to your session, no blender required!
Why I Love It: This is one that I love straight-up out of the bag. No need to get creative with this mix. It is SO good just by the handful. I often have it in the afternoon with a cup of coffee or espresso.
Sweet Sriracha Crunch
Details: Sweet Sriracha Crunch is our happy-days mashup of heat and sweet. While your taste buds zing with spicy sriracha, the maple syrup sweetness comes through to smooth out the experience. If you’re looking for that satisfying potato chip crunch without all the nasties, then look no further than corn nuts and our roasted edamame. Edamame is low calorie, contains no cholesterol and is an excellent source of protein, iron, and calcium. Happy crunching!
Why I Love It: This one has always been a fave because I love anything flavoured with Sriracha. But, the other day I was making my favourite Thai Butternut Squash Soup and I thought that this would make the perfect topping. I will give it a try and report back…..
