Laurel & Reed Review February 2022

Laurel & Reed is the luxe monthly clean beauty box featuring only full-size, non-toxic and cruelty-free products. You will find a mix of clean beauty cult favorite brands and new to the scene small batch indie brands – a full discovery in clean beauty. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Laurel & Reed has been shipping since 2019 but this will be my first time reviewing it. I’ve had it on my radar for quite some time and was SO excited to receive my first box. I love that they focus on clean beauty products and I can’t wait to see what their subscription is all about.

LEAHLANI SKINCARE Bless Beauty Balm – 1oz – $56.00

Oh my goodness….this Beauty Balm is beautiful, it smells lovely and it sounds amazing. I am so excited about this first product. My skin is very dry and I am always looking for a rich moisturizer that will provide a youthful glow. Here’s what we can expect…..

WABI-SABI BOTANICALS The Blessing l 3-in1 Reparative Hydraserum – 1oz – $44.00

This 3-in-1 water serum does it all. Hydrate, repair and refine skin tone and texture using clinically studied Resveratrol and new-on-the-scene Moth Bean, a super gentle alternative to retinol that will have you seriously glowing. Prebiotics target skin stress and leave you with a calm, healthy complexion. Apply nightly to help replenish collagen, minimize the look of hyperpigmentation and create a smooth, hydrated appearance.

Next up we have a product from Wabi-Sabi which is a brand I have never tried before. The Blessing Oil is a solution for: dehydrated skin, discoloration, melasma, premature signs of aging, uneven skin tone or texture, skin stress.

I’m intrigued by the ingredient “Moth Bean” as it’s something I’ve never heard of before. I’m thinking it might be a good skincare option for me because my skin is very sensitive to actual retinol and a “gentle alternative” might just be what I need.

I applied a tiny amount to the back of my hand. It has more of a serum/gel consistency than an oil. It took a little while to absorb (it wasn’t instant) but it left my hand feeling very soft and moisturized.

BELLA SKIN BEAUTY Turmeric Guava Glowing Cleanser – 4oz- $69.00

This creamy Turmeric Guava Glowing Cleanser is a luxurious cleanser for all skin types. It doesn’t just cleanse and purify your skin but it also deeply nourishes it, reduces inflammation and illuminates your skin among many other things. The rare and exquisite Guava Seed Oil has tremendous anti-aging benefits. It has powerful antioxidants to fight the free radicals and help maintain skin elasticity to prevent signs of aging and wrinkles. Guava Seed Oil is noncomedogenic and is helpful with acne. It also reduces the appearance of pores, tones and tightens the skin. Turmeric Oil helps with fading blemishes and creating that gorgeous skin glow and is an excellent beauty ingredient as it is anti-allergic, anti-bacterial and anti-microbial. The creamy/milky consistency will leave your skin with a dewy glow. It is truly a powerhouse of a cleanser that also smells and feels divine and grounding.

I rarely use a cleanser but that is only because I haven’t found one that I love. So…..I am very excited to try this one out. Here’s how to use it…

On a wet or damp face, cleanse your skin using gentle, circular motions. Rinse thoroughly, follow with a serum.

It has a thin, creamy consistency, and a very lovely, subtle scent. I can definitely see myself using this.

Laurel & Reed Review February 2022 – Final Thoughts

My first ever delivery from Laurel & Reed was a total hit. I absolutely love the mixture of products we received – cleanser, serum, moisturizer. The brands included in the box are all new to me so it will be fun to test them out. I also really love that the box is simple in the fact that we only receive 3 quality, full-size products as opposed to a bunch of sample products and/or  lower quality brands, etc. I also very much appreciate the packaging. The entire experience was absolutely beautiful!
