It has been a while since my last Laurel & Reed review and oh how I have missed it. Everything about the box is gorgeous….the packaging, the details, the products….ALL of it. And, I am ALL for non-toxic, all-natural skincare products right now.

Subscription Details

Laurel & Reed is a monthly subscription providing several subscription options at different costs:

• One time purchase: $59.95/box
• Month-to-Month: $54.95/box
• 3 Month Pre-paid: $47.95/box or $143.85 billed every 3 months
• 6 Month Pre-paid: $45.95/box or $275.70 billed every 6 months
• Annual Pre-paid: $43.95/box or $527.40 billed annually

Each subscription box will ship on the 15th – 20th of the month, or immediately when you order if current box is still available. Shipping costs are as follows: $6.95 Shipping to US, $14.95 shipping to Canada, or $23.95 for international shipping. The subscription will auto-renew every 25 days from purchase date. There are no contracts, no commitments, and you can cancel anytime.

LUXE BOTANICS CAMU Brightening Moisturizer – $95.00

Revitalize skin’s natural luminosity with this buttery soft moisturizing cream infused with vitamin C rich Camu Camu. Potent concentrations of this Amazonian superfruit supports cellular energy to fade the appearance of dark spots, repair the look and feel of environmental damage and reveal a vibrant, glowing complexion.

Thoughts: This moisturizer sound wonderful. My “skin issues” would be dull complexion and dryness so I am all for a “brightening” product. It says that this one is great for “Dry, Dehydrated, Dull, Sun Damaged or Premature Ageing Skin” so I will definitely be testing it out.

LUXE BOTANICS KIGELIA Corrective Serum – $115.00

A solution for skin imperfections, this liquid concentrate is formulated with the gentle yet potent skin purifying botanical, Kigelia fruit extract, to address unsightly skin concerns and support cell regeneration. Enriched with vitamin C, niacinamide and sodium hyaluronate to calm and soothe distressed skin, Kigelia Corrective Serum restores skin’s flawless vitality.

Thoughts: This serum gets amazing reviews on the Luxe website but one of the things people seem to like the most is how well it works on blemish prone skin. Luckily I’ve never had a problem with blemishes so I actually have my eye on their Marula Hydrating Serum:)

LUXE BOTANICS CAMU Brightening Mist- $10.00

Hydrate, illuminate and plump skin with Camu Brightening Mist, a refreshing spray all day toner bursting with vitamin C, sodium hyaluronate and Damascus rose water. An ideal pre treatment primer, a single spritz prepares skin for maximum serum absorption, gives skin an instant antioxidant boost and delivers a dewy glow.

Vitamin C is one of my favourite ingredients when it comes to skincare. It’s wonderful for hydrating and brightening and I actually see a difference after using it. I also just ran out of my current face mist so this arrived at the perfect time.

Final Thoughts

The total value of the October Laurel & Reed box FAR exceeds the cost of the actual box, which is wonderful. The feature brand is one I am excited to try and I really love the mixture of products – serum, mist, moisturizer. This is the perfect mix of skincare products in my personal opinion. If they would have included the Marula Serum in place of the Kigelia Serum I would have given this box an A+++ but I’m certainly not complaining because it’s still a fabulous mixture of products and the value is unbeatable.
