Lillypost Review August 2020
Lillypost is a monthly book subscription box that sends children’s books to your door! Each month, tiny fingers will discover carefully curated books, a note, and stickers for fun! They kindly sent us this box for review.
With each passing month baby Steven gets more and more excited to sit down and have me read a book to him. Last night was the best night so far. The moment I opened our book he calmed down and paid attention, he would smile as I turned the pages. If that isn’t a priceless memory I don’t know what is. As I see him smile when I place the book in front of him and hear him giggle as I read the words it makes me realize just how wonderful our Lillypost subscription is.

Here’s a peek at the books I received in the Lillypost Board Book Box for August…
Coloring Contest
“Each month, your little one can enter our fun colouring contest! All you have to do is color, paint or draw our fox, Finnley, into this month’s theme – right on the bottom of the Lillypost box! Get creative, take a picture and post it on either Facebook or Instagram using #lillypostbox.”
Hedgehugs
Will this prickly pair of hedgehogs find a hug that feels just right?
This adorable book made me laugh and it made me feel warm and cozy. The cute little hedgehogs are too prickly to hug each other so they have to get creative.
Jungle 123
Early learning rhymes is a fun, educational series full of colourful illustrations and humorous rhymes. They are perfect for children and adults to enjoy time and time again.
This is a really cute way for little ones to learn their numbers and I love that it rhymes. Does anyone else love rhyming books as much as I do?
Bedtime Ted
Bedtime Ted! “Not yet,” says Ted. “I’m far too busy…..” What will Ted get up to before he finally goes to sleep? Lift the flaps to find out.
You all know I love my bedtime books so I was happy to see this in the box. I really love the big flaps, perfect for little hands, and I love that on the last page Ted is cuddled up in bed with all his fury friends.
We Go Together
Read along to this silly rhyming book as the unlikely friendship between rabbit and bear is explained. We go together like carrots and peas. We go together like macaroni and cheese! You and your child will laugh out loud together at these adorable illustrations.
I love, love, love the illustrations in this book. How cute is the rabbit with his little glasses?! And I love the comparisons – we go together like a button and a belly – the CUTEST!
Lillypost Review August 2020 – Final Thoughts
I don’t know how they do it but Lillypost manages to put together such a wonderful collection of books each month. My favorite book for August is definitely We Go Together because I adore the illustrations, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love the other three as well. The August Lillypost box brings Summer to a close and it’s got me thinking about the October and December boxes……fingers crossed we see some holiday reads in the mix.
