Lillypost is a monthly book subscription box that sends children’s books to your door! Each month, tiny fingers will discover carefully curated books, a note, and stickers for fun! They kindly sent us this box for review.
I can’t even put in to words how much I have been loving my Lillypost deliveries. It really is one of the boxes I look forward to receiving most. I just love everything about this subscription. The packaging, the price point, the monthly colouring contest, the fact that they give back…..and of course the books. The monthly book selections have exceeded my expectations so far. Steven’s library is off to a great start and it’s just going to keep getting better.

What You Get: Each box includes 4 board books or 3 picture books (or a mix of both!) to engage and entertain.
Lillypost Gives Back – For every box that is purchased, Lillypost will donate one book to a child in need through various charities.
Here’s a peek at the books I received in the Lillypost Board Book Box for May…
Coloring Contest
Each month, your little one can enter our fun colouring contest! All you have to do is color, paint or draw our fox, Finnley, into this month’s theme – right on the bottom of the Lillypost box! Get creative, take a picture and post it on either Facebook or Instagram using #lillypostbox.
When Your Lion Needs a Bath
Does your lion need a bath, you must be a little sneaky……
This was the first book I saw when I opened the box and it really did set the tone for my May delivery. I am in love with the illustrations…..how adorable is the lion?! I also really love books that talk about things we do with baby Steven on a regular basis. Luckily he already loves his baths, but this cute little book will help us teach him as he begins to understand and comprehend our daily routines.
Hoot
How many owls can you find in this playful book of numbers? Bright artwork, finger-holes, and a cheerful rhyming story make learning come alive!
What a fun way for littles to learn their numbers. It’s simple, it rhymes and it will teach Steven his numbers from 1 to 5.
Good Night Farm
As the farm grows quiet and ready to rest, Owl flutters and flaps and wakes in her rest. Follow Owl as she flies around the farm to see all the animals settling down for the night. With charming illustrations and a rhyming text, this gentle touch-and-feel tale makes for perfect bedtime reading.
I honestly feel like Lillypost hand-selected this book for me. I mentioned in previous reviews that I grew up on a farm and as a result LOVE farm books. I also mentioned how important reading will be for Steven’s bedtime routine. Could this book be any more perfect?!
Be Clever Little Fox
Explore a beautiful world full of brave, curious, and playful little animals.
I am 100% in love with this book. Just look at how beautiful and fun it is! The illustrations are sparkly and oh so cute! Each page features a different animal and asks you to find 5 more.
Example: The first page features an adorable little bear and in the corner of the page there’s a note that says “Find 5 more strong little bears”.
It’s beautiful to look at, it’s a game to play with baby, and it provides a learning experience all at the same time!
Lillypost Review May 2020 – Final Thoughts
I honestly feel like my Lillypost deliveries get better with each passing month. I am absolutely thrilled with our May box. I instantly fell in love with the adorable little Lion book that greeted me when I opened the box. In addition to that we received a bedtime book perfect for our night routine, and two wonderful books that will help Steven learn his numbers. I really couldn’t be happier with our May books and couldn’t love our Lillypost box any more. It really is a must-have subscription for children.
