Lillypost Review November 2020
Lillypost is a monthly book subscription box that sends children’s books to your door! Each month, tiny fingers will discover carefully curated books, a note, and stickers for fun! They kindly sent us this box for review.
Anytime I’m asked to recommend a subscription for children Lillypost is one of the first that comes to mind. Baby Steven and I just love this subscription. They have options for newborn to age 7 which means this is something we can enjoy for a number of years, and that makes me very happy.
Subscription Details
Lillypost was founded on the idea that reading is fundamental to the development of every child. The love of books and learning starts early in life and what better way to ignite that love, than a child receiving an entirely new set of books every month? Discover books for the special little one in your life from newborn to 7 years old at up to 70% off retail price!
What You Get: Each box includes 4 board books or 3 picture books (or a mix of both!) to engage and entertain.
Lillypost Gives Back – For every box that is purchased, Lillypost will donate one book to a child in need through various charities.
Here’s a peek at the books I received in the Lillypost Board Book Box for November…
Into the Forest
Step into the forest and join the squirrel as she searches for her family. Which other forest animals will she come across? And where will she end up?
This is such a cute book. It rhymes and teaches babe about all the different forest animals. I love the shaped pages and simple illustrations.
Have Yourself a Hairy Little Christmas
Santa is bored of his beard so he asks elf for help! Have fun touching the amazing beards in this hilarious story and join Santa as he searches for a new style!
I was hoping for a Christmas book and here it is. It’s not one I would have picked out on my own, I lean towards more traditional holiday books, but Steven is going to love the different textures of Santa’s beard.
Farm Flip and Spin
Flip and spin each animal’s face to match it to its body. A fun interactive rhyme with gorgeous illustrations by Natalie Marshall.
How fun is this book! Such a great idea for little hands. Steven will love spinning the animal faces and when he is old enough he will love matching each one to the correct body.
Animal Bedtime
Jump into your pyjamas and brush your teeth…..its time to get ready for bed with these silly animals! Read along as hippo takes a bath, cat has a snack, and bird sings a lullaby. Follow all of the steps to bedtime with these adorable animal friends.
I always appreciate bedtime books because Steven and I do most of our reading as part of his bedtime routine. I like that this one takes us through all the steps of our routine – snack, bath, pj’s, etc….
Lillypost Review November 2020 – Final Thoughts
The older Steven gets, the more he loves his books, and the more I realize the importance of a book subscription box like Lillypost. I can only imagine how excited he will be when he is old enough to realize that he gets a delivery of books each month. And the fact that they include holiday-themed books makes it even better!
