Lip Monthly Review February 2020
Lip Monthly is a subscription service from the US that delivers a variety of full-size lip products + one bonus cosmetic in a reusable pouch every month. Subscriptions start at $12.95 USD/month and each pouch is valued at $50+. January’s and February’s were both a month late so I’m not sure what was up there but it’s not a big deal. Ship(ping) happens, LOL. And this was another good one.
*They kindly sent us February’s pouch for review
Lip Monthly offers four subscriptions (all prices in USD and all products full-sized):
- Monthly subscription: $12.95 for 4 products/month
- Lip Monthly Plus: $19.95 for 7 products/month
- 3-Month subscription: $38.85 for 4 products/month
- Annual subscription: $155.40 for 4 products/month
Shipping is free in the US; $3.99 to Canada and the UK; and $4.99 to Australia.
The pouches themselves are pretty flimsy but you get what you pay for and Lip Monthly is a steal. I don’t know why they wouldn’t use a more seasonally appropriate pattern like hearts for Valentine’s Day but whatever whatever. The bathing beauties are still cute.
Appeal Cosmetics Ultra Creme Lipstick (Mood)
“A luxurious creme lipstick that slides on with ease and stays comfortable all day! This lipstick has a satin finish and covers with one application, rich in color and is a decadent addition to everyone’s makeup collection!” ($21)
The case for this one is so gorgeous! If only I loved the colour. I know it’ll be too dark for my complexion so I’ve saved it for a friend.
Manna Kadar Beauty Lippie Love Scrub
“Don’t let dry lips ruin your perfect pout! Manna Kadar Lippie Love Lip Scrub contains a gentle sugar scrub to remove dry skin, and leave you with softer, smoother looking lips. Formulated with emollients that keep lips hydrated after application.” ($24)
A lip scrub in a lipstick case — now that is brilliant. No mess to apply, it does a great job and it feels nice. I’ll be using this one all the time. (I already am.)
ModelCo Hydrating Lip Oil
“Provides the ultimate hydration and shines for your lips. Upon application, the formula melts on your lips for comfortable, sheer, all-day wear.” ($12)
This is a lovely product to slather on after the lip scrub. It’s scent-free and flavourless, had a nice shine and doesn’t feel sticky in the least. I didn’t show it here, but it applies with a wand glued into the cap like the lip gloss below. Love it!
Bellapierre Cosmetics Super Gloss Lip Gloss (Vanilla Pink)
“Super Gloss lip glosses are all natural, non-sticky glosses that deliver unbeatable silkiness and shine. Luxuriously formulated with natural minerals and beeswax to keep lips looking and feeling healthy.” ($18)
This lip gloss is exactly as described and the colour is my favourite to wear. (Peachy pink with a gold shimmer.) Another fab product!
February’s Lip Monthly is valued at $75. I love three out of the four products and the one that doesn’t work for me I’m happy to gift, so no complaints.
What do you think of February’s Lip Monthly? Is it something you’d like to try?
