Lip Monthly Review September 2018

If you’re like me and your favourite part of your makeup routine is lipstick, then this is box for you! Lip Monthly is a monthly subscription box that sends four-five FULL-SIZED (Yes, full-sized) lip products to your door. They partner with brands of all sizes and this is definitely a great way to learn about new niche brands too.

As for pricing, Lip Monthly has multiple subscription plans so you can choose one that will best fit your budget. For starters, the monthly box is $12.95 and the box contents retail between $40-$80. I’d say that’s a pretty great deal!

The Lip Monthly boxes come in the mail in a cute hot pink envelope and inside that is a fun printed pouch. The September pouch is orange with adorable leafs printed all over it. You also get an item card that list each item in the bag.

Starlooks Lip Pencil – $19

This lip pencil is in the colour “Rosette” which is a metallic rose colour. The lip pencil is described as ‘Ultra-luxe and longwear’. When I first swatched this I fell in love with how smooth it glided on and couldn’t wait to see how it felt when I actually put it on my lips. And yes, it felt just as amazing! Not only does it feel great on, but it looks amazing and I’m loving the colour.

Hikari Lip Crayon – $13

Next up is this gorgeous lip crayon from Hikari in the colour nutmeg. This is seriously the perfect shade for fall. The warm orangey-brown tones is one of my favourite colour to rock during this colder months. It also felt really nice on the lips and comfortable to wear.

Portland Bee Balm – Oregan Mint – $2.99

The third product in the bunch is a lip balm by Portland Bee Balm. This balm is all natural, made from simple ingredients which feel amazing to put on. And I love that it’s in a cool minty flavour. I’m definitely throwing this into my purse for everyday use!

Steve Laurant Lip Gloss

The last product in the bunch is this Steve Laurant lip gloss in the shade Ballerina. I think this was a box variation as this isn’t the product listed on the item card, but I am NOT mad about that. This gorgeous nude lip gloss is so pigmited with just a hit of sparkle. But best of all when it comes to lip gloss, this one isn’t sticky and is so so so comfy.

Lip Monthly Review September 2018 – Final Thoughts

This was my first time trying the Lip Monthly box and it did not disappoint. Like I said I’m a huge lipstick fan and I love to try new brands and find new favourites. I really liked each product in this month’s box and I can’t wait to see what October has in store!
