Here’s a closer look at the items we received in the December box……
Eyeshadow Palette – LaRitzy
12 beautiful and earthy colours perfect for all skin colours. Vegan, paraben-free and cruelty-free.
Oh my goodness!! How fun is this!? This gorgeous eyeshadow palette was the spoiler for the December box so I already knew we would be receiving it. The colors are gorgeous and it will be the perfect addition to my makeup bag. I am also very excited to test out a new item from the LaRitzy line. I’ve been waiting to receive something other than lip pencils and eyeliners, and here it is!!!
Herbamare Vegetable Broth – A. Vogel
Enhance the flavor of all your dishes with Herbamare vegetable broth. Use it as a base for soups, sauces or stews or for cooking rice, risotto, pasta, couscous and vegetables. Vegan, organic, lactose and gluten free, free from artificial flavours and preservatives , non GMO.
These are really great to have on hand at all times so I’m really glad to have received two boxes of veggie broth. So many times a recipe has called for a cup of veggie broth when I don’t have any in the cupboard. I have learnt my lesson and now keep a box in the pantry no matter what.
Maple Syrup Soap – Stix
Maple Soap is the latest in the collection of the SoapStix portable natural hand soap sprays. It’s widely known that pure maple syrup and sap contain a host of vitamins and nutrients along with sweet, natural goodness for your skin. It is specially formulated to help repair dry skin and eczema. In addition maple soap has anti-bacterial properties that can purify the skin, leaving hands clean, soft and moisturized.
What a great idea! I’ve never received portable soap before. I was impressed with this product right away but started to love it even more after spending some time on their website. Here’s what I discovered:
- it’s airplane friendly
- you don’t need to use water
- it’s made with 100% natural ingredients
- it has a shelf life of 2 years
- it will help kill germs and bacteria
- pure maple syrup and sap contain a host of vitamins and nutrients
Ready-to-Serve Tempura – Mito
Try this Mito Foods innovation: crunchy ready-to-use, vegan Tempura!
I love it when we receive full-size products! Normally we receivedseeds or nuts of some sort, but this month we received tempura. I happen to love tempura and am really excited to learn some new ways to cook with it.
Turmeric Chips – Vegan Rob’s
These turmeric chips are made with algae protein and crispy pumpkin. They are also vegan, gluten free and non gmo.
I LOVE Vegan Rob’s! I really, really, really love Vegan Rob’s. I discovered this brand about a year ago (thanks to my subscription boxes) and loved the chips so much that I went on a search around my city to find a store that carried this brand. Luckily one of the grocery stores here has a nice selection of their chips. I’ve had the Tumeric chips before and really love the flavour. They have a ton of other flavours as well – asparagus chips, beet puffs, jackfruit puffs, spinach strips, kettle chips, popcorn……just to name a few.
Flexi Spray – Pro Circuit
Temporarily relieves aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with one or more of the following: simple backache, lumbago, strains and sprains (involving muscles, tendons, and/or ligaments), and arthritis.
This is another useful product I will be happy to have in the cupboard. If you are prone to muscle pain, you definitely want to have something like this on hand.
Dried Saskatoon Berries – Prairie Berries
These dried Saskatoon berries are non-GMO, vegan and gluten free.
Dried fruit is a really great snack when paired with raw almonds or cashews…..or walnuts. If I am craving something sweet and don’t want to reach for sugar, I will reach for dried fruit instead.
Eden Wild Berry Mix
A delicious no salt added snack of roasted organic almonds, roasted organic pumpkin seeds, and raw organic sunflower seeds mixed with organic raisins, organic dried wild blueberries, and organic dried cranberries. Rich and nutty with delightful tastes of sweet and mildly tangy fruit. Rich in magnesium, and a good source of healthy fiber and protein.
The same comment applies here……I LOVE trail mix.
Eden Instant Miso Soup
Freeze-dried Instant Miso Soup cubes. Each makes a nice serving in one minute. Just add 8 ounces of hot water, stir, and allow it to bloom for 1 minute.
Oh…..this is kind of fun. I’m actually really looking forward to trying this. My appetite is really funny during the winter months. I’m either starving or not hungry at all. There’s no happy medium. Sometimes all I want is something warm but not too filling. This will be perfect when I’m not really hungry but want something comforting.
Lucy In the Sky Deodorant
A vegan formula (no beeswax) that smells like lavender, patchouli and barefoot dancing at shambhala.
I am always happy to receive natural deodorant samples. I’ve said this before, but it’s one of the most difficult products to find. I’ve tested a few different brands over the years and most of the formulas just don’t cut it. Hopefully this one will do the trick.
Little Life Box Review December 2017 – Final Thoughts
I am in love with this month’s Little Life Box. I maybe would have liked to see a little holiday flare, but other than that it is pretty darn perfect. We received an amazing beauty product, one of my all-time favourite snacks, a full-size food item, and some pantry/cupboard staples. I am honestly really excited about the LaRitzy eyeshadow palette, I really hope to see more items like this in future boxes. And the Vegan Rob’s……can I have an entire box of just those?! I think Little Life Box did a wonderful job curating the December box. I had fun going through all the products and will probably spend a little more time researching recipes that call for tempura and will also spend some time playing around with the eyeshadow palette. In fact, I’ll probably go do that now……but first, cozy pj’s and a warm cup of tea.
XOXO
