Little Life Box Review January 2015
It’s no secret that Little Life Box is one of my favourite subscription boxes, so I don’t need to tell you that again. It keeps my health on track and acts as a monthly reminder to live a healthy lifestyle. And……don’t we all need those kind of reminders this time of year? We just came off a month-long alcohol and junk food binge, thanks to the holiday season, so what better time to get your health back on track.
If you aren’t familiar with Little Life Box it is a Canadian subscription box that gives you the opportunity to sample and experience new green, organic and health conscious products in a convenient and fun way that saves you money. Little Life Box kindly sent me this box to review.

Little Life Box made some minor changes to their cost structure this month. The new price for a monthly subscription is $27, but shipping is now included in the price. I can’t complain about this too much because the cost is still very reasonable for what you get. I think it only increased by a couple dollars overall.
Bana Krisp Tutti Gourmet ($4.99) – If you haven’t tried these yet, you must! I’ve had these many times because the just happen to be one of my favourite snacks. I mostly love them because they only contain four ingredients, and I love any snack with an ingredient list I can count on one hand. It doesn’t hurt that they also taste really good. I have them with my coffee in the morning.
Age Defense Serum Tolan ($35) – Normally I don’t test out new face products due to the fact that I am extremely picky when it comes to cleansers and creams, but this one is made with Essential Oils and it is Paraben-free so I kind of want to give it a try. I did a little more research and found out that it contains a couple of my favourite oils – Rosehip & Jojoba. I use those two product on my face daily so this serum might actually work for me.
Tolan Sample Kit – I’ve received this kit before and at first I thought it was in one of my Little Life Boxes but I kind of think it might have been in a different box. The first time I received it I wasn’t interested in trying it out but now that I know Tolan products are organic and don’t contain any added chemicals or preservatives I am a little more open to giving it a try.
Wild Berry Mix Eden Foods – I’m always happy to receive trail mix in my subscription boxes. It’s the perfect little snack to keep in my purse or gym bag.
Granola Bar Nutty Nut Feast + – I love the name of this bar, I just want to keep saying it – Nutty Nuts Bar. But aside from that it is also vegan, gluten-free and one of the ingredients is quinoa – bonus!
Hibiscus Tea Co. Hibiscus Tea & Pure Butterfly Pea Flower Tea – I’ve never heard of either of these tea flavours before and I am super intrigued by them. Apparently Hibiscus is a very high source of antioxidants.
Three Farmers Roasted Chickpeas Sea Salt Lime – We’ve received roasted chickpeas in our Little Life Boxes before, but I love having them on hand. I eat them as a snack or add them to my salads. This is another snack I highly recommend trying if you haven’t yet.
Néolia Body Lotion, Shampoo & Conditioner – I’m not a fan of foil samples but you all know that already. However, I like this brand so I still might try to use them, but at the same time I find them more of an inconvenience than anything. How’s that for indecisive!
Deep River Potato Chips Original Salted – I don’t know when my potato chip obsession started but I’m just going to go with it. I love this brand and love that we received a bag in our January box. No, they aren’t the healthiest snack option, but we all need some good old, kettle cooked, potato chips in our lives.
Bath Solution Viva Bath – Just a fun little bonus sample, and normally I would just give something like this away, but I found out that you add this to your bath water to purify it before use, so I just might give it a try. I don’t like that it is such a small sample, but these are the kind of products I love.
Thoughts: Given the fact that the Tolan Age Defense Serum alone is more than the cost of the box, I’m confident in the fact that we received great value this month. I found a couple new face products to try, replenished my healthy snack bin, and discovered a new flavour of tea….all-in-all I would say it is a good day. I also have to say again how much I love Little Life’s new website! It is very easy to navigate, has a clean, streamlined look, and I was able to find information on all of the products I received in my box. Yes, the price of the box might have increased by a couple of dollars for the New Year, but we still receive great value and great products so I’m not upset in the least.
XOXO
