Little Life Box Review May 2018

Little Life Box is a Canadian subscription box that gives you the opportunity to sample and experience new green, organic and health conscious products in a convenient and fun way that saves you money. Little Life Box kindly sent us this box to review.

Little Life Box has been my go-to subscription for a number of years. It’s a subscription I look forward to each and every month because it not only provides me with a wonderful selection of health-conscious products but it also keeps me on track. It’s a great little reminder to pay attention to the products I use/consume. Therefore, it’s at the top of my list when it comes to lifestyle subscription boxes.

Here’s a closer look at the items we received this month…..

Almond Butter – Squeeze packs – Justin’s

Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Almond Butter uses only the finest dry roasted Booyah nuts and organic chocolate. It is rich, delicious and has half the sugar of the competition!

How amazing is this?! Typically we receive one or two samples packs of nut butter but this month we received a box full!! These are great to have on hand. Throw one in your purse, take them on your next road trip, use them for kid’s lunches, etc….

Penne Rigate with Chickpeas – Delverde

Delverde rocks the pasta market introducing an exclusive and brand new range made with special flours such as chickpea and flaxseed. A new range made of four new cuts: penne rigate and fusilli with chickpea flour and gemelli and penne rigate with flaxseed flour.

The fiance and I were just talking about pasta last night, funny enough. I make him spaghetti at least a few times each month but we are really wanting to find an alternative to regular pasta noodles. This little package of goodness arrived at the perfect time. I LOVE that it is made with chickpea and flaxseed.

Smart Lime – Bolema

Sugar is another thing we are trying to stay away from. If I had my way I would have absolutely NO sugar in the house whatsoever. Not even a little bit. I’m interested to try this Smart Lime beverage because I LOVE lemonade, especially in the summer, but I don’t drink it simply because of all the sugar it contains. Lets hope this will be my replacement.

Coffee substitute with a smooth, rich flavour. All natural, vegan and made in Canada.

And what do we have here?! I love my morning coffee but I am certainly open to trying out new beverage options. This is a 100% natural healthy alternative to coffee, it is recommended for anyone who wants to reduce or eliminate their caffeine intake: pregnant or menopausal women; people suffering from a heart condition, upset stomach or sleeplessness; athletes and others looking for natural alternatives; children and teens for whom coffee is not suitable, etc.

I’m not really a fan of gum but this will be good to have on hand when you need a little boost.

Coffee – Classic – Ethical Bean

Organic, Canadian and fairtrade medium roast coffee.

I mentioned last month that I am in the market for a new coffee maker. I haven’t really been loving my k-cups as of late and am ready to go back to brewing coffee the old way. So…..give me ALL the coffee beans and/or grounds.

Sweetener with Monk Fruit – Lakanto

On a day when our sweet tooth is bothering us, we know we can’t go wrong with this sweetener made from nature. Whether adding it in your muffin mix or in your morning coffee, this replaces sugar in a fantastic and beneficial way.

Oh…..this is interesting. I mentioned earlier that I try to avoid sugar as much as possible, but sometimes I need something sweet…..there’s no denying that. So, this just might be a good little product to have in the cupboard when the mood strikes.

Little Life Box Review May 2018 – Final Thoughts

Little Life Box really is a wonderful subscription. Have I told you that before? Just look at this month’s box and all the amazing goodies they sent us. It is packed full of new and interesting products for me to try. The May box has provided me with products I might not have discovered on my own……like the chickpea pasta, the Monk Fruit sweetener, the Smart Lime beverage and the Caf-Lib. This is why I LOVE Little Life Box so much and why I will always recommend it…..I get to test out healthy new products from the comfort of my home and I don’t have to worry about waisting money on full-size versions of products that I might not like. So basically, Little Life Box saves me time and money. What’s not to love?!
