Little Life Box Review September 2016
My monthly delivery of healthy happiness has arrived. I have always loved this box, but I have loved it even more the last few months. This box comes packed to the brim, and I always discover fun, new, healthy products. Little Life Box is really fun to unbox. I get quite excited about it. I even let out a little squeal from time to time. Yes, that really happens.

This month’s box was a little deceiving. It was packed full of products, as per usual, but at first glance it didn’t look very exciting. Boy was I wrong. After going through all the items I realized that it is actually very exciting. There are some really fun products in the September box.
Chia Seeds – Elan
We’re obsessed with chia seeds because they are a great source of omega-3 and omega-6, protein, iron, potassium, calcium soluble fiber and antioxidants. You can sprinkle them on your smoothies, in your baking or make some yummy chia pudding.
Did you know that Chia Seeds have 5 times more calcium than milk! You don’t even know how happy that makes me. When people find out I’m vegan they always argue with me about my calcium, and say that I won’t get enough, and that being vegan is bad for me. Well……now I can just throw this little bag of seeds in their face, take that! This is a pretty awesome product, and a full-size one at that!
Coffee – Peru – Camino
We absolutely love our coffee, but this new coffee from Camino takes our love to another level. A medium roast blend that is sweet, lightly acidic with notes of white grape.
I never use to get that excited about coffee when it came to my subscription boxes, but things have changed. I haven’t been enjoying my store bought K-Cups lately and started using my K-Cup Reusable Filter with my own coffee. It is WAY better. So that’s what I will be doing with this Camino Coffee, and I am really excited about it.
Magnesium Powder – Natural Calm
We’re big fans of all things natural and healthy, 2 things that describe this magnesium powder very well, which features a proprietary process that provides the most absorbable, effective, fast-acting magnesium available anywhere. The 100% water-soluble magnesium citrate becomes ionic when dissolved in very hot water and can relieve many symptoms associated with magnesium deficiency quickly and effectively.
This was one of the items in the box that looked boring at first but is actually pretty awesome once you know what it’s all about. Did you know that low magnesium can cause stress, trouble sleeping, low energy, fatigue, headaches, anxiety and irritability just to name a few? This product really intrigues me. I can’t wait to try it.
Cleansing Facial Wipes – Yes To
Yes to knows that our face deserves the best. That’s why they created these facial wipes that cleanse, remove makeup and moisturize skin all in one with the use of natural ingredients like blueberries and coconut.
Normally I’m not a fan of foil sample packs, but in this case I am. I LOVE wipes. You know this about me already, but I keep them everywhere. These little packs are already in my purse.
Cranberry Bites with Chia – Chosen Foods
We’ve never been satisfied with basic snacks. They often lack flavour and can get boring after a while. These bites are anything but boring. Yummy and filled with nutrition and plant based protein, they are perfect to keep you going!
I’ve had Chia Bites before, but not this flavour. They are REALLY good. I like to have them with my coffee in the morning.
Kids Bar – Strawberry Vanilla – Simply Protein
Don’t you love peanut-free, protein-rich snacks that your kids can take to school? The whole family can now snack on this bar without worries. Something everyone can enjoy!
This little bar has 70 calories, and 4 grams of protein. It’s the perfect little snack for my purse.
Baby Wipes – Caboo
Okay, we all know these biodegradable baby wipes solve many problems and might be a life-saver for you, your baby and the environment – but that’s just it. They aren’t just for your baby! We love including products in our boxes that are good for everyone to use and these wipes are perfect for freshening up down there after your yoga class.
Bamboo Wipes! I don’t have to tell you how excited I am about this item. Yes, they are supposed to be for babies, but I am going to use them myself. And they are biodegradeable!
Aloe Vera Drinkable Gel – Land Art
Did you know that you could get drinkable Aloe Gel? Aloe Vera is mostly known for it’s healing properties and is often used in a gel form that can be applied to the skin for burns. The drinkable version does exactly the same, but to your internal organs. It has antioxydant properties and helps heal as well as being rich in amino acids, digestive enzymes, minerals and vitamins.
I’ve heard great things about Aloe Vera juice, and know some people who drink it on a regular basis. I definitely need to do a little more research on this one.
ChlOralfa Breath Fresheners – Land Art
ChlOralfa assures fresh breath and a clean mouth; naturally. It combines the strong deodorizing properties of chlorophyll with the added intensive effects of essential oils. Peppermint essential oil acts as a tonic that leaves a sensation of freshness. It also has some disinfecting, antiseptic and anti-infectious characteristics.
This item is actually kind of perfect. Since cutting sugar out of my diet I have NO desire to chew gum. I use to carry it with me everywhere. This might be the perfect replacement.
Little Life Box Review September 2016 – Final Thoughts
Well, was’t that just the best box ever! Like I mentioned above, it looked kind of boring at first, but once I went through each item individually, I realized that it’s actually pretty great. I will be using every single item in the box, and I discovered some new products. And can I just say how amazing it is that they have a Vegan box! Vegan friendly subscription boxes are few and far between, so I really appreciate the fact that they think about us high maintenance little vegans.
XOXO
