Little Life Box Review September 2017

Little Life Box is a Canadian subscription box that gives you the opportunity to sample and experience new green, organic and health conscious products in a convenient and fun way that saves you money. Little Life Box kindly sent us this box to review.

Little Life Box has been shipping boxes in Canada since 2013. In fact, they were one of the first Canadian subscription boxes I reviewed. I have been following them since that first review and have loved them from day one. They recently made some changes to their subscription offering so I figured we would go over the details.

Here’s a look at the items we received in the September Vegan Box:

Aloo Gobi – Jaswant’s Kitchen

This seasoning contains 17 spices and is gluten free, sugar free, preservative free and it has no artificial flavors or colors.

I really like to see items like this in my snack boxes. It’s nice to have a dinner helper in the pantry for those lazy days. I’m actually really excited to try this out, the recipe on the back of the package sounds really good.

Eczema Cream – Sample – Flexitol Naturals

Flexitol Naturals Eczema Cream temporarily relieves minor skin irritation and itching due to Eczema.

Normally I’m not really a fan of foil samples like this, I usually consider them bonus items, but this particular product will go over well with a lot of subscribers. Especially this time of year when Eczema becomes more of a problem.

Energy Ball – Berry Coconut – Bounce

This energy ball is a delicious way to get a boost when most needed. It’s delicious, fruity and vegan as well as being gluten & wheat free, non GMO, nothing artificial and kosher.

These are my favourite!! I’ve may have eaten this already. I was that excited about it. I put it in the snack bag I carry with me in the car and it only lasted a day.

Face Mask – Cucumber – 7th Heaven

They’ve pulped Cucumbers and juiced Citrus goodness to help give your skin a blast of freshness and help remove dirt and grime. 7th Heaven has over 30 years’ experience in natural skincare, and sources innovative ingredients from around the world.

Little Life Box is really good at providing a fun mixture of products in their boxes. I love that we receive skincare items and bath & body items.

Hair, Skin & Nails – A.Vogel

An excellent source of a variety of nutrients, this complex of Zinc, Millet, Stinging Nettle and Brewer’s Yeast provides the nutrients you need for lush hair, strong nails and radiant skin, as well as providing benefits for the maintenance of overall good health.

We have received full-size bottles of supplements in previous boxes but I think this is my favourite supplement thus far. I am always looking for ways to maintain/enhance my hair and skin.

Massage Oil – Cheri Arome

A lovely natural and handmade lavender-rosemary massage oil that can help with your cellulite, gives skin a healthy glow and relaxes muscles.

This smells absolutely wonderful. I love lavender and rosemary together.

Popcorn – Skinny Pop

You don’t have to make homemade popcorn to ensure that you’re eating the healthy kind. This popcorn by Skinny Pop is low in calories, gluten-free and non GMO to name a few. Let’s just say it’ll make your next movie night guilt-free and amazing!

Popcorn is my weakness and I happen to really love this brand. Not only is it non GMO but it only contains 3 ingredients – popcorn, oil, salt.

Probiotic Protein Mix – Organic Traditions

Organic Traditions® Probiotic Superfood Smoothie Mix is a powerful combination of Certified Organic cold milled chia and flax seeds, hemp hearts, cacao powder, shredded coconut, acacia, cinnamon powder extract as well as beneficial probiotics. Incredible gluten free super seeds, chia, flax and hemp provide a source of fibre, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and beneficial plant-based Omega-3. These mild, nutty seeds are a fast and simple way to enhance your daily diet with an extra boost of fibre and dense superfood nutrition. Enjoy balanced nutrition along with 1 billion beneficial probiotics per 1 tbsp. serving for optimal digestive health.

This particular protein blend contains sugar, which I try to stay away from, but I LOVE all the other ingredients so I’m still going to give it a try.

Snack Bar – Apple – Freeyumm

These allergen-free snack bars are a delicious choice for everyone in the family! They are also non-GMO and gluten free.

Prior to receiving the September box Little Life Box sent us an email to let us know that these little snack bars made it into the Vegan Box by mistake. They apologized and informed us that we would be receiving a bonus item in the October box to make up for it. I think this was very professional and kind of them.

Elan Sesame Seeds

Deliciously nutty sesame seeds are an excellent source of iron, protein and fiber, they also contain copper, manganese and phosphorus.

Sesame seeds are a really great source of iron for us vegans. I have to pay extra attention to my iron levels as anemia runs in the family. I try to have sesame seeds or tahini on hand at all times.

Little Life Box Review September 2017 – Final Thoughts

The September Little Life Box has a great mixture of items including some old favourites and some new brands I’m looking forward to testing out. I LOVE that we received a full size bottle of hair & skin supplements. We are heading into the cold Winter months and my hair & skin always take a beating this time of year. I also love the snacks we received, as well as the skincare items. Little Life Box continues to provide greats items and great value. I always look forward to receiving this box in the mail.

XOXO
