Loti Wellness Box is a Canadian subscription box that offers practical skills and products to reduce stress and anxiety and improve your overall wellbeing. You will find in your box 5 to 8 quality wellness and lifestyle products to remind you to take the time for self-care, physically and mentaly. Coming along, there is a workbook filled with therapeutic activities and guided materials related to the month’s theme.
Depending on your preference, you can receive a box every month, bi-monthly or quarterly. They recently dropped the price to be even more accessible in these hard times. It was $54.95+shipping and it is now $49.99 + $5.99 for shipping (prices are in Canadian dollars).
Every box has a retail value over $85, so it is worth it. They also have amazing customer service. I had a product with a little defect last month, nothing bad, but they contacted me right away to tell me they would send me a new one in my next box. I confirm, I did receive a new incense holder in perfect condition.
I must admit, Loti Wellness Box is very welcome and so appreciated in my life. When I did my unboxing, tears came to my eyes. I am feeling more fragile mentally as I must deal with a new lifestyle and a lot of stress. I do my best to stay positive, take care of myself and all my family, but I feel a lot more vulnerable and that shows. Loti is such a wonderful box to get every month to help you cope with your personal challenges and help you grow.
This month’s Loti Wellness Box theme is “Embracing Strengths” and comes with a workbook related to the theme, 7 items and a bonus. I love this theme as I have to dig into my strengths these days more than ever. Loti Wellness Box kindly sent me this box for review and I am pleased to share my thoughts on the carefully chosen items and activities I received.
Shampoo Bar and Loofa from UPFRONT Cosmetics
“The Universal Shampoo Bar is infused with uplifting, fresh, herbal, floral tones by agency of lemon, rosemary, and lavender notes. This sulphate-free shampoo bar creates an abundant lather that is pH-balanced to be gentle, non-irritating and safe for colour-treated hair. Provitamin B5 helps retain moisture and protect your hair from the elements. Hydrolyzed oat protein adds softness, aiding in manageability.”
UPFRONT uses only natural ingredients and are specialized in bars of shampoo and conditioner. Their products are sulphates, parabens, and synthetic fragrance free. I tried shampoo bars in the past and really liked it! It works as well as regular shampoo and I found that I had to wash my hair less often. Also, it is a lot more eco friendly than a regular plastic bottle. In fact, one bar of 65 g equals 3 bottles of shampoo.
To keep your bar from melting or disintegrating in your shower, you must keep it on the right surface. It is very thoughtful from Loti to add a loofa on which you can put your bar to dry. The loofa can also be used as an exfoliant, so two in one. Love it!
Eucalyptus Bath Melts from Buck Naked
“Treat yourself to an indulgent bathing experience and enhance skin’s moisture with our Buck Naked Bath Melts. Luxury butters, oils and essential oils melt into your bath water, ready to be drawn into your skin to provide silky smooth results.”
Buck Naked is a brand with a similar mindset as UPFRONT. They create all-natural, vegan, handcrafted skin care products and have the environment at heart. These bath melts are exactly the kind of product I go for when I feel like taking a bath. I create my own little spa with candles and add something special like a bath bomb or some sea salt with essential oils. Also, the eucalyptus really reminds me of the spa plus it helps to clear your airways if you have a cold.
Real Nature Face Mask
This cucumber face mask looks perfect for a spa day at home. It has a cooling effect and is infused with cucumber extract to rehydrate your skin. Winter is hard for sensitive dry skin like mine, so this is always the kind of product I am happy to receive. A face mask forces you to stop and relax when you put it on. No going around in the house, it is time to slow down. I took a look at Nature Collection’s website and they have a large variety of face masks similar to this one all made with natural ingredients. I might try a few more.
Rose Quartz from Loti Wellness
I have a few semi-precious stones and love to have them close when I do yoga or meditate. I love the one I received! It is a rose quartz and here is what it says about it:
“As a healing stone, it emits a calming, cooling energy which can work on all of the chakras to gently remove negativity and to reinstate the loving, gentle forces of self-love. The pink colour of rose quartz has been symbolic of love throughout the ages.”
I believe we sometimes receive exactly what we need and this is definitely the case with this stone. I love the design of it and will keep it close to me to keep negativity away and keep a loving heart.
Anti-Stress Coloring & Activities and Coloured Pencils
This book is the perfect combination of mindfulness activities and mandala coloring. I went through a few pages and I know I will enjoy it a lot. It is not only a coloring book, but also a guide and a mindfulness activity book. I love the drawings that are not childish but fun and uplifting.
I find that, when I feel anxious or stressed, drawing tends to ease my mind. It simply stops the clock for a moment, makes you focus on only one thing and feel relaxed. This might be one of my favourite items in the box.
The colored pencils are also very appreciated. The double ended pencils is an excellent idea and it is so well thought to give a kit with a pencil sharpener! I have kids, so I have a few already at home, but I know some people who do not have kids might not have this little item at home and will be very happy to have it included.
Embracing Strengths Workbook by Loti Wellness
“The goal of this workbook is to help you become familiar with your strengths and accomplishments, and help you develop and use your strengths to create positive changes in your life.”
This is so impressive how we tend to focus on the negative part of our personality sometimes and not focus as much on how good and strong we are too. I found in the workbook activities to help identify my strengths and ways in which I am using them in different facets of my life. I think it will take quite some time to go through all the questions because some might be harder to answer and might bring some emotions and more thoughts. Lots of personal work for me this month.
Bonus – Free Month DiveThru Guided Journaling App
DiveThru is an app with guided journaling exercises to help you “divethru” what you are going through. When you sign up, you answer a few questions to decide the subjects you could work on. Then, you can start your initiation to journaling with the 6 Day Jumpstart Program.
It works in four steps: First is the guided introspection. It is a breathing exercise to get ready. Second is the moment you get your journal and pen and start writing. It is timed and the app will tell you when to stop. Third step, you close your eyes and reflect on what you just wrote. Finally, you read what you just wrote and summarize the important stuff in one or two sentences directly in the app.
I have not done a lot of journaling in the past years, but I am willing to give it a try. I like the guided approach of this app, and will try the first program and see how it goes.
Loti Wellness Box April 2020 Review – Final Thoughts
The April Loti Wellness Box is filled with so many wonderful items. They were different from the past months and went well together. I like that all the items are eco friendly, natural and mostly made in Canada. There is also a good ratio of products to care for your body and others to care of your mind. One product I cannot wait to try is the bath melts from BUCK NAKED, and also to do some anti-stress coloring (which is very needed these days).
Also, the workbook will be a great help this month. The exploration of your strengths is such a great idea and when you are feeling low, that is even more important to keep in mind how amazing and strong you are. Thank you to Loti Wellness Box for creating this subscription. I said it before, but this box is a must try.
