Loti Wellness Box Review February 2020
Loti Wellness Box is a Canadian subscription box that offers practical skills and products to reduce stress and anxiety and improve your overall wellbeing. You will find in your box 5 to 8 quality wellness and lifestyle products to remind you to take the time for self-care. Coming along, there is a workbook filled with therapeutic activities and guided materials related to the month’s theme.
Depending on your preference, you can receive a box every month, bi-monthly or quarterly ($54.95 CAN + shipping).
Last month I had the pleasure to review the January Loti Wellness Box themed on goal setting and I enjoyed every product in the box and the guide to set S.M.A.R.T goals. With such a great start, I was eager to find out what was to come. Loti Wellness Box kindly sent me the February box for review.
This month’s Loti Wellness Box theme is “Positivity” and this box is full of love. Everything was carefully protected with paper and bubble wrap (I am the one who tore a little bit of paper) and came in perfect condition. Let me show you the amazing items I received…
Slate Chalkboard from Loti Wellness
When I first saw the picture in the booklet, I did not think it was going to be that big and I am pleased to see there is so much space to write. Also, in the little black box, I found chalk. This is going to be hung in my office where everyone can see it. For February, I will write a sentence or quote with the word “love” in it and hopefully a certain phrase will resonate for someone and bring a reflection or make him or her feel better.
I also like the suggestion to use it as a cute forget-me-not. Once the decorations for Valentines day will be hidden, I will keep it at home and note my little things to remember for the next day.
Strawberry Shortcake Brittle from SweetSmith Candy
Sometimes, self care is a treat like this decadent white Belgian chocolate nicely flavoured. With this kind of sweet, there is no need to eat the whole bar to feel satisfied. Try this: Find or wait to be in a calm environment and take your time to smell it, look at it before you put a little piece in your mouth. Then, take your time, analyze the flavours, the texture and then swallow. It brings on a totally new experience and the delicious bar will last a little longer (believe me, I tried another flavour from the same company and once opened, it did not last with four people in the house. It is so good!)
Cleansing Energy Roller-Ball Blend from Simple Is Essential
Roll-ons are life savers! I have a few at home and love them all. This one is a mix of cedarwood and juniper berry to clear and cleanse the energy around you and some myrtle to give strength to overcome negative and addictive habits. I will keep that in mind since I feel like I have some bad habits coming back to the surface. There is also tangerine essential oil for nurturing an optimistic and positive energy. That’s good for me and everyone close to me!
I did not know Simple is Essential before (a company from Alberta) and I am pleased to discover the variety of products they sell. I will surely come back to their Etsy page to buy more.
Jewelry Dish from Kate Aspen
This jewelry dish fits perfectly with this month’s theme filled with positivity and love. I like the pink border and how “love” is written in shimmering gold foil. I already own something similar for my jewelry, but I might use it as a trinket dish or it could be used to hold my tea bag after an infusion. Perfect look for my office decoration this month. It also matches the heart shaped chalkboard.
Cedarwood Vanilla Soy Candle from Wild Serenity Studio
“Cedarwood has a distinctive woody, spicy scent. It’s fresh and invigorating, combined with warming, creamy vanilla bean. This hand poured, 100% natural soy candle with a crackling wooden wick will be a cozy addition to your home.”
The smell brings on a good vibe and I love it! I never had a soy candle with a wood wick and cannot wait to try it and hear the crackling wooden wick. Some helpful tips came along with the candle like: to avoid a tunneling effect, it is said to light the candle for 1 to 2 hours so the entire surface melts. For the subsequent use, I will have to pinch the tip of the wick to keep it short. Also, I like the little pouch it came in. I will reuse it to buy little things in my zero-waste grocery store.
Love Hand Butter from Beth and Olivia
Life has a way to bring things that we truly need in our life and this hand balm is very welcome into mine. I just finished two tubs of hand cream and almost bought more but I waited and here came this lovely scented balm made of shea butter, beeswax and coconut oil. They added rose and ylang ylang essential oils and I like this mix a lot.
Loti Wellness Activity: Love Positivity Workbook
“Happiness takes work. External factors have very little influence on our happiness in the long-run. Learn about activities that have been found to help build happiness and self-love, when practiced regularly.”
The activity workbook is an important part of the box. With the items, you have the tools to take care of yourself and with the workbook, Loti Wellness shows you the way to wellbeing and more specifically, love and positivity this month. I liked the ideas provided to increase wellbeing, the suggestions of exercises to build sustained happiness and even more the guide to start positive journaling. This workbook truly makes this box special. I love it!
Loti Wellness Box February 2020 Review – Final thoughts
The February Loti Wellness Box is a perfect hit for me! I felt the love and positivity with all the items specially curated for this box. I have a little crush on the cute jewelry dish and was very happy to discover new Canadian companies like Simple is Essential, Wild Serenity Studio and Beth and Olivia. I bet the positive vibe will go on even in March with all these lovely products. I will also keep my workbook close. I like the positive journaling and will get my inspiration for weeks to come from the ideas Loti Wellness Box wrote. I strongly recommend trying this new Canadian subscription box!
