Loti Wellness Box Review July 2021

Loti Wellness Box is a Canadian subscription box that offers practical skills and products to reduce stress and anxiety and improve your overall wellbeing. You will find in your box 5 to 8 quality wellness and lifestyle products to remind you to take the time for self-care in all aspects of your life. With the products, there is a workbook, created by Loti, filled with therapeutic activities, and guided materials related to the month’s theme.

I am so in love with the new design of this box. This is the second time I received it with the new design and I am still in awe. I gave my impressions on the new colours and shapes of it in my last review if you are interested.

Loti Wellness Box is a box that puts forward the importance to pause, self-reflect and reset, and the design reflects exactly that message. We can find this “mantra” in many places but the most evident is inside the cover of the box.

Now, a little bit of information on the subscription options. Depending on your preference, you can receive a box every month or bi-monthly. The cost per box is $49.95 + $5.99 for shipping for Canadian and $8.99 to the contiguous US (the prices shown are in Canadian dollars). Most boxes are worth over $100. If you get hooked like I am, I recommend the prepaid options (3, 6 or 12-month).

The hot days of July called for a theme like this one: Cool Off. At first glance in the booklet, some items have the perfect purpose to cool down. Sipping iced tea in my hammock? That sounds perfect! Let us have a closer look at what I received.

*Loti Wellness Box kindly sent me this box for review.

Bamboo Cutlery Set from allBambu

Bamboo seems to be the way to go for reusable cutlery. I have received a similar set before and I like it a lot. This useful set has a fork, a spoon, a knife, one large straw for the smoothies on the go (with a practical coconut fiber brush to clean it) and even two chopsticks for Asiatic meals.

Everything fits easily in the pouch, so you can bring it easily everywhere with you. There is even a carabiner at the back to hook on to your bag, backpack, or anything with a loop. I would love a mini version with only the fork, spoon and knife for my kids’ lunch.

Bamboo Straws from allBambu

From the same company, I received this nice set of five bamboo straws with a brush. Since they come from a natural material, they do not look identical and I think that makes their beauty. I love this eco-friendly alternative for straws, I find bamboo to be a more pleasant material than stainless steel. I already own some of the same brand, but eventually, so many straws might come handy when we will be allowed to have more friends at home.

Just Peachy Tea from Pluck Tea

“One of our top selling black teas, this delicious, soft, and fruity infusion features a full black tea character layered with luscious ripe peaches. Served hot or cold, this tea is divine with milk (think peaches and cream!) but is perfect on its own.”

Just the description makes me want to start my kettle. A peachy black tea, that looks like exactly what I need this summer since it can be served hot or cold (a bit of caffeine is also welcome when I must be at work at 7:30 in the morning. I had not seen Pluck teas for a while in a subscription box and I remember l liked a lot the last loose-leaf tea I received from them. There is enough for quite a few cups in there, but I am sure that bag will not last long.

Body Mist from Naturally Vain

The idea behind this product is good, but I find the menthol crystal to be too dominant. It smells like an analgesic spray for muscle aches, but a little bit less strong than what I own for that purpose. It is though the ingredient that keeps the cooling effect last longer (it feels cool for about an hour or so). I will keep that bottle home and keep it for hot summer nights (when there is only my husband close enough to smell the product on me).

SPF 30 Lip Balm from Green Cricket Natural

Excellent item for a month in Summer. This lip balm has a SPF 30 in it, which is such a good idea considering we are spending a lot more time outside. I like that it is vegan and made without harmful chemicals, artificial fragrances or colours. The only thing I would change is the colour. If it could be more on the pink side then beige, that would look a little bit better.

Slim Deep Toning Oil from Way of Will

“Formulated with pure essential and carrier oils designed to penetrate deep into the skin to firm, tighten, and tone. The delicate citrus scent instantly uplifts, creating a feeling of liveliness and brightness. A blend of skin-loving ingredients including Sweet Orange, Cypress, Clary Sage, Grapefruit, and Juniper Berry essential oils absorb into the skin instantly to lock in moisture and improve skin’s elasticity.”

Grapefruit is the dominant scent in this oil and it smells very nice and different from what I am used to. I must say it is the first toning oil I received. If it does the magic it is supposed to do, I will be happy, but working or not, it makes an excellent oil for a good massage and it penetrates the skin quickly without leaving a greasy feeling behind.

Loti Activity – Cool Off Mini-Workbook

Some items in the box are made to keep you cool physically, but this workbook is all about your mental health. It feels like Summer is here and suddenly it is cold again, so most people feel the need to make the most out of this short time and the calendar is bursting with activities. Vacations you say? Sometimes, it does not look like it. It is important (all year long) to have a balanced life with not too much work and other activities and time for yourself so you do not burn the candle by both ends. This workbook is essentially about preventing burnout. It has tips to help you regain control and good activities to make yourself feel your best physically and mentally.

Loti Wellness Box July 2021 Review – Final Thoughts

Since I already own half of the items in this month’s Loti Wellness Box, it was less of a discovery this month, but I enjoyed it as much. The exception would be the body mist which was a bit of a miss for me as the scent reminds me of muscle ache spray more than something cool and relaxing. The tea from Pluck Tea is an excellent idea for a Summer beverage as it can be served hot or cold. That might be my favourite item this month with the toning oil that has an uplifting smell and interesting properties. The mini-workbook was very complete and a good read. Loti even suggested a recipe and a training which respectively looked good and fun. Overall, Loti’s Cool Off box had a nice mix of products for July and a theme I enjoyed exploring.
